It's one of life's great mysteries.

Because he can't drive the basketball or play defense. Two things Cal values.

Fairly bad play by him at the end there.

Been pulling up and hitting jumpers all second half - picked a bad time to try and drive for a layup.

Not really.

He wanted to be closer to home when shite starting shutting down due to COVID-19. He was also behind Immanuel Quickley and Tyrese Maxey. shite happens.

But I have no doubt UK fans will play this up like us not getting Chris Lofton when we had Rajon Rondo instead.

For the people down voting this I'm simply pointing out his style of play did not compliment Cals dribble drive. Cal preaches man to man defense and if you can't stay in front of your man you better score more than you give up. JJ didn't do that.

I'm happy he's found a system in UCLA where he can have success.

And he ended up with the 2020 SEC POY in front of him. Juzang has been amazing this tournament but I still wouldn’t take him over Immanuel Quickley.

I was being facetious, but thanks for laying out the obvious and letting that fly over your head.

OP asked why. So not so obvious it seems.

Bless your heart.

Maybe because he wanted to play on a better team and get to play in the NCAA tournament?

COVID happened and he decided it made more sense to be back home in LA with family than across the country by himself.

Bad break for Kentucky but I reckon they’re due a bad break or two every so often. lol
