Why did Georgia play so much man last night?

I didn’t get to watch all of the game but Georgia seemed to play man exclusively in the first half and the part of the 3rd quarter I saw.

We played way more zone than we normally do but the zones were way too deep. We switched To man when we blitzed which we stared doing more often because the 3 man 2 yards off the LOS rush wasn’t working.

They tried zone early on but they were giving a 8-10 yard cushion and Miss St was just dumping it off.

Are you sure about that? We rushed 3 and played soft zone almost the entirety of the first half.
In the second half we tightened up the zone and occasionally brought more pressure and held them to 7.
We played very little man
