Because it features SEC teams.

Seriously. It’s crazy that they would pick a very highly ranked SEC team on the road vs. another SEC team (also likely ranked) instead of watching A&M get mudholed by Clemson.

If SC sneaks into the top 25, ok sure. But College Gameday is heading to College Station.

That's fine. ESPN's incentives are different than CBS'.

Because A&M is a Big 12 team and CBS carries SEC games.

SC made it in at 24. Two ranked teams. Ok, I guess.

CBS was stupified by Georgia domination of Austin Peay.

Yeah, that's totally why people think UGA is probably pretty good.

the better question you should ask is why did ABC/ESPN rotate the Texas A&M game to the 4-letter network at 7pm as opposed to the national ABC 330 slot instead of Colorado at Nebraska.

also, apparently they thought Penn St/Pittsburgh was more worthy of the ABC 8pm national slot, too.

CBS's choice between 2 SEC schools was obvious.

Nobody cares about anything in Texas. The teams in TX are no longer vogue

It's all about ratings, nothing more.

This game was chosen before the season started, not on Sunday.

Plus...don't think CBS has top dibs due to the US Open (because their contract was done before they lost the US Open) until week 3. They definitely don't week 1. In the end they probably still have the game they want even though they may have been without top dibs.
