It was a terrible decision on both sides. CBS is still nation wide and while ESPN is via computer, streaming, cable etc. there are still a number of people who do not have access to it.
Plus it gave the other competition. CBS production was light years better than ESPN.
Danielson was a very knowledgeable analyst who called it like he saw it (similar to Howard Cosell). Hence lots of people did not like him because he did not sugar coat.
I actually thought he was refreshingly good even when when State was on CBS and we sucked. He called us out on it. He gave credit where credit was due. He did not buy excuses either. You either performed or you did not.
I think the SEC and CBS will eventually regret this decision.
