Why did Auburn go away from a running QB?

Gus and his offense seemed best with an extremely mobile QB. I know Bo Nix can run some, but nothing like a Cam Newton(I know once in a generation talent) but also Nick Marshall(a converted DB that could run his arse off.) Auburn’s offense has never seemed the same since they went away from that? Why not go back to that?

Cause Gus thinks he is a real OC when he is in fact not. Any time he has tried to do anything other than used a glorified RB at QB it has failed.

I don't know, I saw Nix doing plenty of running last night.

Yea but not effectively lol. Also not just the QB running for his life, but the actual whole offense being predicated on the QB being an extremely talented runner, like running back level good, not Bo Nix level.

Bc running QB’s don’t follow Gus’ play calling.

Aubie was great with Cam and good with Marshall bc they did whatever they wanted. Gus no likey.

Maybe Cam to a point because he was such a talent. But the offense with Marshall seemed calculated and well run. It would be run, run, run, from different guys including Marshall, and then play action and go up top.
