At most this says the Texas rejects who go to Arky are overrated--not that Texas kids in general are overrated.

You've provided no facts. Now it's the pansies are pitiful. Not a fan but they have been to playoffs and SB - just a couple of facts for you.

Regardless of topic, until proven otherwise, Cam is all stats and no chest in the NFL. I give him 2-3 more years. If he doesn't have a Superbowl or at least a championship of some kind, he's a bust.
On the topic of AJ, as far as a pure passer, he is better than Tebow by far and about the same passing wise as $cam. His offense allowed his receivers more space and room to make plays. Hence the yards. You saw what kind of yards JFF got against Alabama being able to fly around the backfield. But, it's just my opinion. Supported by observation and opinions. Because I think stats are usually absolute bullshite.
Are you real?

I think its just a difference of opinion...would you rather have the guy who puts up the stats or the guy who wins or even gets you to a championship?
obvious answer is obvious
and like I said cam in college won a championship so ill give you that but the opinion that he is superior to AJ is just ridiculous. he played in a system that through the ball close to 80 more times than AJ did last year.
Alabama fans are the least intelligent people on the planet. I continue to be impressed with the Auburn Family and their ability to live in close proximity to these people.

So you're saying that out of all the recruits that Arkansas gets the ones they sign from Arkansas are better than the ones from Texas. Or am I missing something?

Mississippi puts out a lot of great athletes, but they the coaching in this state is not up to par and a lot of them don't qualify. Athletes are everywhere though and the speed of the game is very fast in this state.

Greg Childs - Arkansas

Shawn Andrews - Arkansas
Marcus Monk - Arkansas
Matt Jones - Arkansas
Jonathan Luigs - Arkansas
Cedric Cobbs - Arkansas
Knile Davis - Texas
Tony Ugoh - Texas
Chris Houston - Texas
Caleb Miller - Texas
I'm putting Texarkana players in a separate category:
Cobi Hamilton - Texas
Dennis Johnson - Arkansas
Ryan Mallett - (finished high school in Texas, but from Arkansas)
I could name as many good players from Mississippi in that time span. That said, Texas players are overrated.

This has nothing to do with JUST the Texas recruits Arkansas gets. The in-state recruits Arkansas gets are not only better than the Texas recruits, but relevant on a national scale. McFadden was robbed out of back to back Heismans. Childs, Wright, Adams, and Hamilton are self-explanitory. Mallett/Wilson both top 5 QB's in the nation in their time in college. It's not just that Texas recruits aren't performing, it's that Arkansas recruits are exploding.

ETA: And all of them came within a span of 3 years. McFadden and Hillis were 06, then 08 brought Mallett (Had to sit out the year), Childs, Wright, and Adams. Then 09 brought Wilson, Dennis Johnson, Hamilton, and Gragg.

The main reason Texas kids have traditionally been coveted is that, from the onset >100 years ago, Texas high school coaches have been hired to win football games. And fired for not doing so. There never has been any of that, "you're a teacher first. Promote their socio-spiritual blossoming foremost and keep football where it belongs amongst life's priorities" drivel. In Texas football IS life. And so Texas kids were mentally, and to a lesser degree physically, as ripe for football when they entered college as were many other sophomores.
For several decades now other states like Florida and others in the south have shifted toward the winning first philosophy of high school football and so things have pretty much equalled out. imho.

I agree with this. But you're forgetting the really athletic black kids that coincidently move into the area
Also, I can't believe how overvalued AJ is by the Bama tards on this board.

If coaches are not interested in players from Texas, they won't recruit 'em. End of discussion. Guess I'm not understanding the rationale behind this thread

The best part is they're comparing Cam's NFL career to McCANNON's career at Bama.
