Without reading anything in this thread other than the OP ... glad to see this.
It sickens me to see Texas talent leave The Great State every year. Unfortunately, we have too many kids/not enough spots for 'em.
Good for Arkansas (and every other state) for growing their own athletes. I'm never big on seeing non-Texas names on our roster. I'm sure others feel the same about their own states..

Texas recruits are great in college, but see little advancement due to the amazing facilities and coaches that develop.

Basically why Alabama players are so great but don't perform up to expectations in the NFL

NFL QBs are measured on wins.
You are right.

The Carolina Panthers should have become a juggernaut in the NFC a year after finishing 2-14.

sorry for the mistake but if you account for the times he ran the ball instead of THREW the ball im sure that number would have been drastically different

He can't run an offense, period. As great an athletic talent as he is, it just won't happen. Do you think he is the Lebron James of NFL? Put him in NY and multiple Lombardi trophies? Not happening.

Are you wanting to play the "what-if" game now?

What if AJ McCarron played for a different team like, say, Mississippi State or Ole Miss. Would he be able to lead them to a National Championship? They both finished with a record close to, or equal to, the record Auburn posted the year prior to Cam Newton enrolling.

Well depends on how you measure the guy

He threw for a shite ton of yards and had a lot of records, but he didn't win anything of that caliber so......in my opinion yes. He wasn't worth a shite. And he's a tool of weight loss advertisements. Like Bradshaw.

Excellent post!

That must be why the Panthers averaged 12.2 PPG in 2010 and then 25.4 PPG in 2011. I guess it is just a total coincidence that the huge change occurred the year after Cam Newton was drafted.

Yeah, guys like Trent Dilfer and Greg McElroy are much greater examples of great quarterbacks at different levels. All they had to do was ride their teams strengths, like defense and a dominant running game, to a championship.

Are some of you trying to act retarded? Am I being trolled? What is going on?

This is just dumb.... The state of texas has 26+ million people. It is just statistically more likely to have superstars with that size of gene pool.

Well that part is obvious. No doubt Texas has a ton of talented players every year compared to arkansas.

What he's saying is the players from Texas that we've had, who were rated around the same as our arkansas players, havent been nearly as good as the arkansas ones have. It could just be a coincidence but the perception is that we need a huge foot in Texas when the majority of our key players in the last 10 years or so were from here.

Thats not saying we dont need Texas because we definitely do

A lot of talent in Texas. Adrian Peterson, Von Miller, Andrew Luck, RG3. Tannehill, Joeckel, Manziel and so on.

Then don't take 'em. Let 'em go elsewhere.
Seriously.

Tebow

Just...no

Grats on the dumbest thing I've seen written this week

Tebow is one of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of college football - and one of the top two players in the SEC over the last ten plus years at least
