Why are TAMU fans saying they are happy with Murray transferring?

Surely you don't really think that? If Anthony Jennings were the last QB left on the LSU roster, I'd want him to stay. I'd pray he stayed.

Coping? Or was Murray a cancer or something? I don't recall any terrible in-season drama being out there with him. (Just remembered the drama in the locker room, but even with that...)

Really asking here. I don't know the circumstances I guess but it's odd to me that so many folks are apparently happy to see their highly touted starting QB transfer. Especially given he's the last one left? Wtf?

LSU fans would be melting

Because he was a cancer and his father was worse.

Allen was the big loss, not Murray.

His dad is a program cancer
He's only 5'9
He's a much better baseball player

Am I covering all of it?

He bitched out a coach on the sideline against Bana then refused to go back in the game, he was not well liked in the locker room and he was a spoiled brat who was upset every time the coaches made him earn reps.

His dad shopped his son and then wanted a say in our offense, how he was used, etc. He stormed into meetings and practices and shite.

This. He had potential, but wasn't worth wading through the crap.

Also, he isn't our last QB. Hubenak should be at least serviceable.

Why did A&M bother signing him in the first place? Doesn't sound like he acquired all those negative traits overnight; he and daddykins must've had a shitty rep going in.

I can't believe how quickly A&M has gone from "next big SEC powerhouse" to "next big SEC outhouse."

5 star QB, top 30 national player, legacy, winningest Texas HS football QB ever. You take that guy 11 times out of 10, even if he seems like a douche and his dad is a little too involved. Hindsight is 20/20.

He's also 5'9 and a twig. There's literally no way he could ever succeed long term at QB in the SEC

Because they were self-proclaimed the next big SEC powerhouse. Anyone with half a brain knew a program that's never been a powerhouse wouldn't be after swapping to a tougher conference

Fair point

Could any of this be in Sumlin? Honest question. Or do you guys think Murray was always the problem?

Flutie agrees.
He said his career sucked because he's a short twiggy QB.

His dad tried to shop him out to various Texas programs in exchange for a job as QB coach/OC

Sumlin was basically forced to recruit him by boosters. Sumlin wanted another player over Murray.

If true, Sumlin isn't HC material

I agree with this statement, accept for Allen being a big loss. Allen was horrible. There is a reason that he was backing up Kenny Hill and he couldn't keep Kyler Murray off the field.
