He's only been here for 2 years, won the division his first year, and is not doing too bad record wise. Are people just spoiled from the Urban Meyer days, because Nick Satan and Urban Meyer are rare coaches of today. People are even hard on Kirby Smart his first year. Butch Jones has been in the division longer than any coach and hasn't done much. I say wait in 2 years and Georgia and Florida will have better records and be competitive

Because McElwain is paid how much? He's how arrogant? I've also heard he's a dick to the staff at UF. So if you have those things, you better fricking win.

Because he lives in a dam of his own making and shops at Belks or something.

He has one win over a ranked team and that team was Ole Miss. Also the QB at the time was on roids. Since then all he's done is beat up on pansies and lose his last 4 games against ranked teams, all by double digits. Also get destroyed by an unranked Arkansas team.

Also, news flash: winning the East is not impressive, it's basically being the tallest midget. There are 0 good teams or head coaches in the East right now, but someone has to win it anyway. The same is true if Butch happens to win it this year.

He hasn't done anything that Muschamp wouldn't have done if they gave him the time to do it.

And if you're considered an offensive guy, and your offense is as bad as what he's put on the field, that probably says something about you.

Saban and Meyer have created unrealistic expectations for other coaches. There's simply no patience anymore. Coaches need years to build up a program, it can't happen overnight.

Should be long enough for a qb guru to trot out something better than the hot, wet garbage you have out there taking snaps.

Dude looks like a Florida transplant from New York that got a fake tan and spends all of his remaining years laying on the beach with his gut out smoking marlbro lights

I agree than it is way early to form any strong opinions on him, and if anything early on field results are more positive than not. Jury still out.

Only real knock is recruiting. He isn't doing terribly, but just how everyone recruits in the SEC he may be a step or two below others. UF expects to be at the top, and you need the studs to do so.
