The Bama-UF game will decide the Heisman. How hard is that to understand. Nothing Trask or Mac does matters until then.

Because they know that Mac Jones is the better quarterback.

You can certainly lose it between now and then with a poor performance.

OP is right that the game will decide the Heisman winner, but Trask is better than Jones imo

Trask has 11 more TDs.

If they play comparable Trask will win it.

Also Trask is going up against the better defense with a lesser Oline and no stud RB like Mac.

Trask has to throw up on himself to lose the heisman. It’s his and it should be. He’s been better

And jones leads him in every other category but that. Plus our rbs have at least 20-25 tds and florida does not. One lone category does not a better qb make.

Statistically Jones beats Trask in all major categories except touchdowns.

Jones has played 5 of the top 6 defenses in the SEC, while Trask has played 4 of the top 6.

Jones is the favorite and anyone who thinks otherwise right now does not understand the Heisman voting process.

Good news is that UF will likely have a game against Bama where Trask can make his case.

Exactly. Najee has 17 rushing TDs and Alabama has 24 rushing TDs as a team. Florida has 6 total. Mac shouldn't be punished because Sark knows Najee is an end zone finding machine and feeds him in the red zone.

Because Jones isn’t as important to Bama as Trask is to UF. Why is that so hard to understand? Does anyone think Bama would be in a different spot with Bryce Young?

It’s just at one guy. Every fan base has him.

Because Trask is obviously carrying the load for them, and they know Atlanta is most likely a loss. But it is a loss due to other positions on the field. That is the part that upsets them.

For what it’s worth I think Trask has been more “outstanding” which is the Heisman criteria. Stats point towards Jones however. But I feel that is the difference between throwing on a defense that fears Najee Harris vs whoever it is that Florida has carrying the ball. It’s a lot easier to throw on a defense trying to shut down the run. I don’t think Trask has seen a defense do that in the 3 games I’ve watched. So, I feel that explains the statistical differences.

That's not Mac's fault that Mullen doesn't have a balanced offense.

Bingo this board is too stupid to understand this though. Gonna fall on deaf ears.

It’s not Trask’s either but it’s part of it.

So basically Mac outperforms him statically having to feed Najee, while Trask feeds no one and has more pass attempts

The Heisman isn't a most valuable player award. It's supposed to go to the most outstanding player. And, frankly, Bryce hasn't looked great this year; we don't have a 2017 Hurts/Tua situation where Alabama would be just as good or better with the backup playing.

They’re trying to revive the myth of being QBU. This will all be moot when Mac Jones cuts the Gators to pieces on December 19th.

In a goalline situation, handing the ball off to the running back protects the statistics of a quarterback. In a tight space the completion percentage is very low, and if it is completed it’s only for 3 yards or something.

So yes, Mac gives TDs to Najee, explaining his lower TDs. Mac protects his completion percentage and yards per attempt.
