And on top of that other schools in state are doing more with less resources

One of them is not a real football program with the hubris of Martin Lawrence.
The other, The longhorns, have underachieved grossly.

An accumulation of too many prima donnas on the team. UK has experienced this problem ever since one-and-done began in basketball. Too much money and praise will counter-balance even the best talent, and a disciplined, cohesive team is not possible.

They both think you can buy success.

The Ego of those programs. Texas and A&M can’t humble themselves long enough to really look in the mirror and fix the problems.

Ewers just took an ugly sack. A lady in the stands was yelling “just throw it away!” Damn …

Texas egos
Texans generally have big Egos
Utx thats steroids for their egos
Folks with less and generally humble just outwork them.

A&M is what they have always been, mediocre. Texas' demise is the story. One factor is that all the other Big12 schools in Texas are on the general upswing. And Texas has too much institutional dysfunction.

I agree. Getting out hustled by teams with less resources.

The answer is always coaching.
We took a chance on the flavor of the week in Charlie Strong and Tom Herman, they didn't work out.
Why we hired known-mediocre Seven Win Sark, I don't know.
That said, too many cooks in the kitchen is a big reason for the bad coaching hires. Too many oil millionaires who want to exert influence. Tough to get that many egos rowing in the right direction.

I’ve been saying Herman was better than Sark since they hired Sark. I didn’t understand the firing of Herman unless they had a big name coach coming in. I understand the “standard” they have as a program but Sark has never met that standard in his career as a HC.

No alignment. Way too many egos have to be in charge, also, it’s all about money for them. Just buy instead rolling up sleeves and working

Texas HS athletes are coddled.

Agree on the coddled.
These kids are on IG and Twitter at the age of 15.
Would rather recruit some kid from no where Louisiana or Miss that knows nothing of the outside world.
This shite has been going in for 10 years now.
