I don’t want a coach with “O” in his name ever again

I say Dabo! He has gotten to the playoffs three years in a row,and with two different qbs. That's very impressive.

Dabo, would piss the Boogs off worst.

We may need to consider opening a new board just for Kirby discussion.

With all resources being even?
Dabo.
UGA has the best recruiting base in the nation.
Clemson was basically Mississippi State when Dabo took over. And look what he's done.

Dabo will still be there in ten years.
If Smart has big success at Georgia, my guess is he tries his hand at coaching in the pros.
I think Muschamp will at some point too, assuming he does well at USC - which means something a little different than what Georgia is expecting.
Anyway, if you doubt me there, you can google up an interview Smart had with an Atlanta radio station a few years ago when he was still DC at Alabama.
Basically recruiting is kind of a monster now. It's nothing like it was even as recently as the 90's.
It's literally 24/7, 365, and while pro coaches are notorious for working long hours, the college guys have gone past that in reality.
Good read if anyone searches for it. You are either a very specific kind of person or you will reach a point where you realize "I can't do this anymore."
You might still want to coach, and may even be good at it. But in this new world and system they start shuffling you out, because recruiting is now the most important thing.
That may not be true at all levels, and maybe not all parts of the country. But is is pretty much true for every school in a P5 that is pushing to be a player in the new landscape.

Muschamp and Kirby aren't NFL head coaches. Pro players wouldn't buy their rah rah bullshite

Kirby hired this guy as OC:
Dabo hired this guy to be his OC:
Dabo in a landslide..... which was probably caused by Chaney breaking an elevator.

Dabo is less obnoxious and has actually won the NC.

Going for the guy who actually got it done.

This season will show what type of coach Kirby is. Losing Smith, Carter, Chubb, Michel, and Wynn is a lot of experience and leadership to replace.

Did y’all even see what Clemson did to OSU and Oklahoma?
He’s consistently not only beat, but EMBARASSED teams that make a living out of beating the shite out of teams and spitting in their face while doing it.
Dabo is a much better coach and a much different type of coach period.
Point being, I believe it would depend on the situation. If the atmosphere was in the need of revival, take Dabo. If the fan base and team was in need of a wake up call, take Kirby.
