Both names are being floated as possible replacements for Billy Kennedy at Texas A&M.
Put aside whether or not you think either coach will end up in College Station.
But hypothetically, which coach is the better hire: Buzz or Kelvin?

I’m not a huge follower of hoops, so I’m genuinely curious what some of you basketball aficionados think of these two options.

Who will replace Billy Kennedy at Texas A&M?

Buzz. He would be a character in the conference.

Sure, they could go the Mizzou way and hire a D3 coach or a retread from Cal.

Absolutely. The dance on the WVU court during country roads was balls.

Buzz is a helll of a coach.

Both would be great. I think we have a better shot at Buzz. Tillman would never let Sampson go.

If I were A&M I’d make an offer to Dirk Nowitzki.

Go hire Kelvin Sampson. We need another athletic program on probation in the SEC.

I think Buzz is the better fit for A&M. I think Sampson is the better coach.

No to Kelvin Sampson. He’s more likely to get into trouble again.

Anyone else who can draw up a play during a timeout should get consideration.

Besides sending texts and phone calls...the NCAA changed the rule.

I do agree with the prior post, Buzz is a better fit...Sampson would be awesome at Arkansas if it opened up.

Sampson is probably headed to Arkansas if Mike gets cut this weekend. Buzz will do a great job at A&M.

If that were all, he wouldn't have had such a difficult job getting a head job again, and he wouldn't be toiling at Houston right now.

He's a great coach, and he will do a great job for someone, as long as they don't care how he does it.
