Who would CBS Pick for Prime Time

... if LSU loses Saturday at Florida and again to Georgia?
Potential records going into November 3:
Georgia (8-0) vs. Kentucky (8-0)
Alabama (8-0) vs. LSU (6-2)
Would CBS ever pick to air a primetime game from Lexington, KY?
All that would have to happen is the following:
1. Alabama would beat Arkansas, Mizzou, Tennessee
2. Georgia would beat Vandy, LSU, and Florida
3. Kentucky would beat Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, and Missouri
4. LSU would lose to Florida, Georgia, and beat MSU
None of that is unrealistic.
I still think CBS would likely choose Bama-LSU, but if LSU were to drop a game to MSU as well, I have a hard time believing they would go to Baton Rouge to watch Bama pound a team on a 3-game losing streak.

They always pick bama, but the ESPN night game is the better slot anyway. I'm tired of Gary Daniels.

UK is the big story this year so maybe

They easily pick Kentucky having a once in a generation season with a chance to cement a 9-0 record.

The CBS night game/doubleheader day exists for the Bama-LSU game. They decided to have Bama-LSU as the night CBS game during the offseason. LSU could be 1-7 and still get to play Bama on CBS that night.

You catching the drift here, Kyle ? They'll always show two big time programs playing before an upstart versus a pretender.

I wish CBS would change this LSU-Bama thing. It's worn out and is old news. it was cute when it was the "Saban Bowl". I wish they would feature the LSU-A&M game during a holiday weekend or, the game that really deserves it, the Aubie-UGA game, which is the most competetive rivalry in the SEC.
Let's stop the LSU-Bama thing. Everybody I talk to bitches about this game being a commercial filled CBS game that doesn't end until 11:30 that night. Bama fans don't care nor are interested in this being a "prime time" game. This was never a "rivalry" game to Bama. Sorry folks, it wasn't, it isn't and will never be. Nobody outside of Louisiana goes nuts over this game.

Texas A&M is beating Kentucky this weekend.

Georgia will lose two of those games.

I would rather have the night game so I'd hope they'd take Bama.

LSU and Bama have more national appeal than any other program in the SEC.
History has proven this.

I think that that weekend is the afternoon night double-header on CBS with a 3:30 game and an 8:00 game, with the perceived better game going at 8.

Try having Beth Mowins. We've had her twice already.

If things played out like your OP, I think they'd take UK/UGA for sure.
ETA: For the night game

they're taking bama lsu and there's nothing that will stop them.
Even if uga/kentucky means more (which in your scenario, it 100% would) and be a bit more intriguing and actually more evenly matched...it aint gonna get the eyeballs that bama/lsu will and that's typically what matters.

Not like that Bama/Vandy rivalry, amirite?
(Hell, or the Bama UT 'rivalry' for that matter)

No they did not. And you can go to both Alabama's and LSU's athletic websites and note the game time is "TBA" on both sites.
Each year, CBS plans for Alabama-LSU to likely be their one prime time game by choosing the first weekend of November as their prime time week, but they reserve the right to choose another game from that week if they choose to do so.
So far, they've never gone against it. But the SEC office also usually clears the deck to make sure there are no other decent SEC games that day. No one bet on Kentucky being a good team this year, so things could change.
I do believe they ultimately choose Bama-LSU.... partly because I think Kentucky slips up one week. But if both UGA and UK were unbeaten going into that week, it would be very interesting.
