Gonna go with Ben Simmons in basketball.
He was the #1 pick, coming to a team that lost a couple 2nd rd picks to the draft, but was otherwise pretty much intact, and had gone to the NCAA the year before. You'd think a 2 for 1 trade like that would at least match up equally.
Dude couldn't shoot beyond 6 ft, created a huge mess in the locker room, and announced he wasn't going to stay with the team for the postseason.
2nd place at least recently goes to Brandon Harris at QB. Early tease of a mobile QB with a rocket arm, figured he'd develop into a Deshaun Watson type of stud. By his final year he couldn't hit anything, but he could create a turnover out of thin air.

This guy is a reason why they need to get rid of the one and done.
He had no business going to college.

Richard Hendrix - media claimed he could go straight from high school to NBA -

Hendrix was pretty good here though.

My answer is Brodie Croyle.
Had arm strength but overthrew everyone by 5 yards and went down at the littlest bit of pressure

This is a tough question for a State fan but I'm gonna go with basketball and say Renardo Sydney

Andre "The Next Percy Harvin" Debose.

To be fair the game changed a lot during his career. His freshman year with Shane Matthews that offense looked a lot different than it did with Grier his senior year.

Long list in basketball
Master Blaster (Richard Madison)
Derick Hord
Marvin Stone....
Though quite a few UK fans thought Rajon Rondo was overrated, turns out to be one of the best players to ever come out of the program.

Ricardo Hurley, 5* from Greenwood. He was a big get for us, as Greenwood is more of a Clemson town. Wasn't a terrible player but never lived up to the hype.
