14-6 has to sting a lot more than 58-3

Used to hate Spurrier at UF because he ruined many a season for Bama in the SECCG. The 1994 loss to UF by count of 24-23 is one of the most excruciating losses I've ever experienced. Bama was undefeated and to be so close...
I feel ur pain.

Spurrier in the 1990s at Florida
There's intense hatred for Saban by just one or two schools.
In the 90's, the conference hated Spurrier. Being the dominant team for a large part of it, and running the score up, along with his off the cuff remarks, that people weren't used to at the time, brought alot of anger towards him.

Spurrier was more of a dick and skulldragged us all but one year. But we weren't worth a shite for most if not all of those years, and they were in the Eastern division anyway.
Now, our former coach comes back to our division and does everything in his power to deny LSU championships, when, but for him, we'd arguably have several more. So, I definately hate Saban more.

I remember when Nebraska thumped Fla in the NC game. I think there was dancing in all the SEC states except Fla that night, and lots of laughing. Spurrier had a taste of his own medicine in that game and I remember people enjoying that.

People stopped hating Spurrier? Why?

Spurrier. Hands down. Like already said, you have a couple schools who hate Saban and Bama. But the whole damn conference wanted the visor to fly.

Not even close.
He'd talk shite and still run 50 on us. That's embarrassing.

Spurrier is the only answer to this question. Saban tries not to run it up and talks up his team's opponents to the point of absurdity. Spurrier was calling bombs and fake punts when his team was up by 35 in the 4th quarter and then he would talk shite in the post game presser.

I think it is a dead heat because Alabama is hated more as a program. Florida didn't have decades of winning prior to Spurrier's success. Though Spurrier would run the score up more often than not, and his snarky comments never sat well with opposing fans.

Saban actually contributed something to LSU. Spurrier contributed nothing.
Personally, my least admired coach is tommy tubberville.

All true. I got a warm, wet feeling in my underwear watching the Huskers do to UF what they had basically been doing to most of the SEC for most of the 90's. While I'll pull for the Gators in OOC games, they remain to this day one of my least favorite SEC teams and it all goes to the Ol' Ball Sack.

Easily Spurrier, and I bet more LSU fans than you think would agree.

Agreed. Spurrier was more hated just because of the level of shite talking he would do about opponents. Then he would come in and beat folks arse and just make it that much worse.
Spurrier settled down a bit towards the end of his tenure at FL and dialed back the smack talk a bit, and got a little more likable for opposing fans, but in his early tenure he was definitely more hated than Saban.
