Alabama’s defense last week appeared to improve from the last few weeks. Bama fans have to be sort of shocked by that. It’s a night game with Bama facing a much improved LSU offense and defense. Bama’s special teams will hurt us, but so will LSU’s balanced and mutli- dimensional offense hurt a Bama team that could never stop Tenn.

I expect it to be a competitive game, with turnovers being the key. LSU’s defense suddenly seems to have a talent for creating them, thanks to Perkins. Hopefully it’s a well officiated game with no opposing players punching fans.

Is it at Bama’s home away from home?

It won’t be competitive. 41-17 LSU.

I tend to think Bama will win. Not super confident though.

This board told me all summer that there's no way BK can even hang with Saban.

Bama absolutely can not lose.

I think LSU is good enough to stay in the game and the schemes are strong. This isn't Les Miles they are facing.

The one worrisome thing is how poorly LSU starts. Against a team like this you can't afford that. IF LSU starts poorly this type of team can bury you quickly.

Hoping for the best but won't be surprised if the corn-puppies pull it off.

Does LSU have a defensive game plan for the first quarter? If they play the first quarter like they have for every other Power 5 team, then NO, because Bama will score 14-21 points and LSU will be playing from behind against probably the most talented defense they will play all year.

If the defense can be the second half defense at opening kickoff, then yeah, they can play with Bama!

Alabama vs LSU

Real football schools. New age rivals. Great traditions.

It's a great game before it starts. And, no matter the outcome, it's a great game to watch.

I am thinking this game will not be close, unfortunately. With the way LSU starts games they will most likely come out slow and let Bama score a couple of times, before answering. You can do this against Miss St or Ole Miss, but with Bama they will pour it on. It'll be more like the Tennessee game most likely. Throw in our usual mishap on special teams and we may be in for a rough time.

I hope I'm wrong, but it is what I think will happen.
