Who is truly the best QB in the SEC so far? Could it be Max Johnson? Or Bryce Young?

Interesting topic for sure….

I think you could make an argument for 3 maybe even 4 guys.

Max Johnson: Sophomore
1,144 pass yards, 15 TDs, 3 ints, 75.5 QBR

Bryce Young: Sophomore
1,124 pass yards, 15 TDs, 1 int, 87.6 QBR

Matt Corral: Junior (Heisman)
997 pass yards, 9 TDs, 0 ints, 89.3 QBR

Honorable Mention:
KJ Jefferson: Sophomore
844 pass yards 8 total TDs, 2 ints, 72.9 QBR

Team defense rankings faced:
Johnson: Miss State (42) UCLA (87) CMU (73) Mcneese (NR)

Young: Florida (63) Southern Miss (58) Mercer (NR) Miami (72)

Corral:
Louisville (97) Tulane (NR) Austin Peay (NR)

Corral is a Junior, not a Senior.

It’s hard to know how good a Bama QB really is. He’s surrounded by 5* playmakers.

Corral has only played 3 games. He’s also rushed for 5 or 6 TDs as well. That doesn’t matter to you because you’re an LSU fan. It matters to the rest of the country though.

How about KJ proving the haters wrong? He leads Corral in categories and OM hasn’t played anyone and call timeouts when up 30 before half to score. We’ve played our second and third string to call off the dogs or KJ sitting out most of 2nd half against A&M.

Jefferson is obviously better than Corral.

Not really the case this year. We have talent, but it's not near the same level as 2018-2020 so far this season. They may develop to that point, but far from it right now especially compared to last year.

Don't forget Corral has added 52.7 yards per game on the ground and 5 rushing TDs.

Added some team defense rankings. Some interesting things there as well.

No, it's only Bryce and Corral at this point.

The upcoming game of Bama/Ole Miss will probably separate them.

start with the two undefeated ones you highlighted and work from there.

I agree. I think corral is probably in the bottom half of the SEC.

Only an LSU fan would even consider putting Johnson in the "best QB in the league" discussion at this point.

I would think Daniels and Jefferson belong in the conversation. Jones from Florida has ups and downs but he is also getting the job done.

You can’t just ignore Johnson either. 2nd in the nation in TDs.
Longest active streak of games throwing for 3 TDs or more.

He also has a pretty horrid line. He deserves to be in the top tier, not necessarily 1.
