Boom isn’t going anywhere. Who the frick would we get to replace him anyways?
People forget how average Steve was his first five years. He built it up by recruiting. Same thing Boom is doing. Boom inherited a dumpster fire. He’s brought in good players but hasn’t had the depth.
Also..
Do you frickers trust Ray Tanner in a hiring search?!? That cocksucker needs to be fired first.

Muschamp will be first only if he gets fired during the season. I think Vandy goes 2-10 this year or maybe even 1-11. On paper they may only be favored in one game all year and that is their season opener vs Mercer. The rest of thier OOC schedule is at Kansas State and home against Colorado State and Louisiana Tech. CSU was down last year under 1st year coach Mel Tucker but they improved as the season went along. They get Ole Miss and A&M from the West.
Mason is toast but they will probably let him coach out the season.

He has them by the short hairs, and the new AD & interim Prez all want Family peace rather than an upheaval with a coaching search when there's no guarantee they'll get improvement over what they've got.
There is some truth in this. The prior President (rightfully fired) really screwed up with Gus's contract and put Auburn in a bad situation. Interim President rightfully cares about academics and only gets involved in athletics if he is forced to. New AD is conservative with money (maybe too much) and wants the buyout lower or guaranteed by yellowman or Harbert.

West only has Malzhan really on the hot seat. Every other school has new coaches and then Saban, Fisher and O.
East is the side to watch. Muschamps, Mason and Pruitt are all on the hot seat.
I'm not including scandal possibilities.

Mason.
He's lost his three best players, fired his assistants, lost his AD, and gotten blown out by a lower tier MWC school, and who's going to save him? A freshman QB starting in the SEC?
That's like having terminal cancer and someone offering you a mulit-vitamin.

Why would Gus be fired before Kirby?
Because he's a worse coach and he's lost to Kirby every year he's faced him

Gus is safe.
So long as he keeps winning the iron bowl when on the hot seat. Auburn could go 8-4 perennially and not care too much so long as they get the Iron bowl record closer to 50-50.

That's not true
Yes it is. Gus has coached against Kirby in 2016-2019. He has lost to Kirby each of those years. Where am I wrong?

If you break it down reasonably and calculate the minimums after new hires (which has now basically been thrown out the window after Freeze, Morris and Moorehead) then it's easy to predict who is on the hottest seat but not necessarily who will be the first one fired out of the current crop.
mUSChamp is entering into his fifth season. He's on the hottest seat but if he wins 7 or 8 games against his upcoming schedule which include LSU, Florida and Clemson on the road and Georgia at home .... he will not be going anywhere. If Boom goes 8-4 regular season, which he likely will because he'll pull off an upset of one of those four, then he's absolutely not going anywhere.
Mason is the obvious answer to the question. He's gone. Vandy has already started their coaching search.
Gus would have to win 7 games or fewer or really lose badly to some teams while going 8-4 .... to be fired.
Ole Miss and Miss State are not making any changes for at least five years.
Arkansas and Mizzou will not make any changes for at least four years.
Jimbo is not going anywhere at A&M for at least four years, or maybe five, no matter what happens unless he gets caught cheating or violated some morality clause in his contract.
Saban might not win another championship but he would be given another five years starting now. I get the feeling he'll step aside the moment he feels he has lost his competitive drive and doesn't have the energy or he grows tired of dealing with prima donna assistants and players. 2024 or 2025 he'll bow out.
Kirby is not going anywhere anytime soon at UGA. Same for Mullen.
Stoops would have to completely fall apart for him to find himself on the hot seat anytime in the next three or four years.
The answer to the question is obviously Mason. 5:1 odds easy.
50:50 on mUSChamp and Gus.
After that it would take a freak accident or act of God for any of the other coaches to be fired at the end of the upcoming season.

Aubies are generally idiots. It goes without saying. And this post is indicative of their idiocy. I guess that's why y'all roll your own trees and can't decide on a mascot.

We hope Gus stays past Kirby. And we hope Kirby stays for another 10-15 years.

The only reason Muschamp even has a job is because of his buyout.

Muscamp
My vote.....no progress at either school.

Kiffin could get fired, but not for his performance
But if he continues to beat Kirby(Maxwell Smart) then will Kirby be fired?

Mason unfortunately. The Burch signing got Muschamp another 8 years.
