He’s a poor game day coach, good recruiter. Won’t do any better than Richt did. Doesn’t make him suck, but he’s not great
I'm in this camp right now. I think he is a little better than Richt, but that's it. His first four seasons are nearly identical to Richt's first four. I think he will win a little more than Richt did, but I don't think he's ever going to be a guy that gets UGA into a 4 team playoff more than twice in a 5 year window.

Richt went 10 years without winning a SECC
and Kirby is a far better coach and recruiter than Richt was in the 2 nd half of his career and once AGAIN,we didn't fire the Mark Richt who coached from '01 to '07.

Richt inherited a better situation than Kirby and Kirby still has a better record and accomplished more in his 1st four years.

It would only make one look ignorant to argue the OP's assertion at this point in time. Last season was perhaps the greatest season ever put together by a college football team and O was the head coach. Time will tell if "Laissez les bons temps rouler' will continue.

You have to leave Kirby off of any list like this due to that Fake Punt he called vs Bama
Jus' sayin'
It's nice that Waffle House Collins won't be a concern for several years. Paul Johnson left that program in awful shape and it is hilarious to watch.

How could you leave Will Muschamp off that list?

There is another guy that should be on the list and has been at his current job i believe this will be is 21st season not saying he is a great coach but bad coaches don't keep jobs for 21 years at the same place that would be IOWA Coach
Kirk Ferentz

It's going to be fun to see how many coaches Kirby can get fired from GT. He's already at one with Johnson. Collins will be next within the next 4 years.

I think David Cutcliff is one of the best in the business. Had he had the keys to a major program with the resources he could have won big.

So that leads me to my Question
Who is the best coach with no natty?
R. Day
Mario Cristobal
Brian kelly
Dan Mullen
Kirby
Gus
Harbuagh
Lincoln Riley
J. Franklin
P.J Fleck

Kirby has a collective record of 10-1 vs coaches he's faced on thist
Damn.
And to think that none of Kirbys earlier teams were as talented as 2020.

Can't disagree with any of this.He doesn't get enough credit

4 pages and no PJ Fleck?
The guy has done more with less than anyone on the list.

Funny my post follows yours, but I was going to say PJ Fleck. He has been successful wherever he has gone. I'd be worried if he took over at a major program.

He was my pick when we hired Orgeron.
Glad that didn’t work out!

I think Scott Frost is going to be on this list before long.

Anybody who puts manny fricking diaz in any good coaching list needs to not post ever again. This dude sucks.

Lincoln Riley and Brian Kelly by a long shot. Both have been knocking on the door multiple times. The others haven’t even gotten close.

Only 6 current natty coaches coaching and 2 got their natty at LSU. Nice.
