SEC-related because the B12 dissolving will Speed up Texas/OU’s entry into the conference. And also the effect of that move on other conferences trying to match the SEC, will change cfb forever.

If I were the PAC-12 I would probably take 4 and match the SEC. B1G seems like it doesn’t want Kansas or Iowa State.

Oklahoma State, Kansas, Iowa State seem like the best bets.

And honestly the most intriguing Texas school to take isn’t even in the Big 12. And that is the University of Houston. 4th largest city in the country, AAU school on the rise. Good market to get into. Good recruiting ground for football and baseball.

TCU, Houston, Oklahoma State, Kansas imo.

eta - maybe Tech or Iowa State over Kansas given the commissioner's comments on focusing on football.

I say they don't take anybody. Football on the left coast is pretty much done. They can't draw flies at their PAC12 CG.

Tech and Oklahoma St based on viewership.

Iowa St. and Kansas to B1G makes the most sense re:AAU.

That leaves Baylor, TCU and Kansas St.

Based on previous comments by Cal, accepting in Baylor and to a lesser extent TCU would be difficult based on the Religious connection. My guess and hope is Baylor gets the short straw.

TTU and Houston are great additions. Rice is a dark horse.

I've been watching YouTube & some people say to take B12 teams, some say partner up with B10 for FB only to counter the SEC, some say the B10 needs to take P12 schools to grow in # (yes, the did point out the distance issue). Others state the P12 might be next to dissolve

Who knows?

Kansas is a toss up with the B10. While not AAU, they're 1 hell of a bb team, so......
Does the B10 overlook AAU status for help in bb?

kU is AAU but the Big 10 is still balking because their football program is horrible.

Baylor and TCU are both religious schools and neither are Carnegie Tier 1 Research which is the standard for ACC membership. Baylor, to my understanding has added a Research Mission to their Hospital along with the standard teaching mission. Some blogs that follow academics (yes I read them) suggest that within 3 to 5 years, Baylor can obtain Carnegie Tier 1 status.

Perhaps they should try to go the ACC, Wake Forest is in the ACC and is Southern Baptist affiliated school and Boston College (Catholic) is full time member and Notre Dame full time in everything but football.

Kansas & Iowa St to Big 10

TX Tech, Ok St, KState & UHouston to PAC

-Stanford, Cal etc highly unlikely to admit a religious school.

Texans watch college football, and TX is the largest growing state (new to that conference) anywhere near their footprint.
