Who, among all the new HC hires, will most likely still be there in five years?

I would think Fisher is the most likely.

Every team looks like they got a pretty good hire, but I think A&M is the most pot committed to their coach and do not see where Jimbo would go.

Jumbo, obviously.

10 year contract, 10 SEC titles.

Regardless of what Fisher does A&M is sticking with him like they did with Sumlin. I for one thinks Fisher will struggle.

Yeah, I am not speculating on wins/losses.

I think they are locked in no matter what.

I am not sure any of the other hires are the same. If FL had gotten Chip Kelly, maybe.

Mullen will get a little more leeway just because they’ve been so unstable there at Florida. He might not be there in 6. But I’d guess he will be there in 5.

Until the landscape changes, there’s not a coach in this league (other than Saban) who’s guaranteed five years.

I am not so sure. I think Jimbo is pretty much a lock.

Disagree. McElwain had 2 East titles and didn't finish the next season. If Florida feels like the butt of a joke, they will pay the buyout. This is Florida. It is what they do.

Other than Jimbo, Chad Morris, because Arkansas doesn't care about winning as much as the rest and Chad Morris is a better hire than most people know. Jimbo will be at A&M for at least 5 years before he gets fired and gets a nice buyout.

On another note, Jimbo just does not seems like a match for A&M. Just a weird pairing to me.

Fisher...because they’re pot committed.

He may well be the only one.

Morris will be there in 5 years. They gave Bert 5 years. I think at worst Chad will beat the Sun Belt/MAC teams and will be able to make games competitive against good teams unlike Bert his last 3 years or so.

If you look at them...

Pruitt IMO was a good hire, but coordinator hire's are always a crap shoot.

Mullen is a great fit and I expect Florida to bounce back.

Jimbo has a track record, but this is his first attempt at being new in town. The contract makes it likely he'll be around a while.

Luke is a place holder.

Morris will be a good fit for arkie.

Not sure what to think about MSU, but Moorehead will get to coach with Ole Miss in the dog house.

If McElwain doesn’t say anything about death threats he is still our coach. I’m not sure why you think he was fired for on field performance.

You still believe that he made it up for attention.

That's fair. You can believe what you want.

I know how stupid fans are. I've been on these boards for about 8 years. The one in a million happens when you are dealing with fans.

You can support your coach or bury him. UF fans hated the shark jokes. They buried their coach in the same fashion as Tennessee and Schiano. Congrats on sitting at the same table as Tennessee fans.

Jimbo is most likely to still have the same job in 5 years followed by Mullen.

That's why our AD was fired halfway through a losing football season.
