What's your excuse for Ingram's pathetic performance that year?

Oh so you mean a rookie in the NFL coming off of knee surgery didnt blow it up his first year in the league? That is just crazy, I tell ya.

It's only true in your willfully uninformed opinion.

No, my opinion is well informed. Trent, EL, Yeldon, MI were all better in college than any RB that LSU has had in the past 5 years. I don't even see how that can be disputed. Hill has a chance to be better than MI and maybe EL.

I can roll with Yeldon, Ingram, and Trent being more talented guys but Lacy is no more talented than Ridley was... I think you guys underestimate how much that o-line did work for the RBs.

I don't know, but Lacy is more talented than Ingram.

I respect your opinion, but disagree. Lacy is better than Ingram, IMO.

I see what you are saying, but our RBs always get so many yards after contact, its kind of hard to say that they are just a product of our Olines.

Do you not see the extreme flaw in your reasoning here?

Flawed in the sense that the Saints and the Patriots are also different schemes, OL's, schedules, etc but would anyone like to argue me that Ingram is still a significantly better RB than Ridley as it was perceived in 2010?

It was perceived as so in 2010 because it was true.

And would you still consider Ingram significantly better than Ridley?

who the frick cares? LSU and Alabama have probably had the best RB corps in the SEC the past few seasons anyway. Bama may have had a little more talent at the top but I think LSU has been deeper.

I really like Yeldon, and Alabama has done a great job of putting out productive backs under Saban's watch, but Blue/Hill will be a damn good combo too.

Some quality backs in the SEC (including Gurley) .

I really hope Blue comes back from his injury and plays well. He seems like a really good kid. Probably why so many donations went in to help his family after his mother's house burned down.

Our Oline was average at best all year. I'm not knocking on Yeldon at all, I just don't see what makes him so much better than hill. I guarantee that if hill would have started as many games as Yeldon, that the stat sheets would be extremely close : cheers: can't wait to see the two on the field again though. Going to be a fun year for Bama and LSU
