I know Henry is da man, but gotta think he gets moved to lb with altee and the other backs plus drake, and the other bunch already on campus. I love hill and blue, but I think Hilliard can be good if he sheds some weight. I would take that threesome any day.

and if Mett has improved he has the targets out wide to make some plays.

Personally I think you have this backwards. It was when the WRs started catching the ball down the stretch when the offense finally opened up. Mett definitely needed his reps in the beginning, but he wasn't the reason we lost either of our regular season games IMO

Drake

I get the feeling he may get processed by this time next year. He's already gotten into trouble a couple times and has to hold off Henry, Jones, Kamara and Tenpenny for playing time. I'm not sure he's on their level. We'll see

There is so much talent at RB competing behind Yeldon, it will be interesting to watch the next several months. I still feel like Henry may end up at Linebacker.

would be a fricking damn good duo but they will likely never be on the same team. I think Hill leaves after this season but we'll replace him with Fournette

UGA has the best backfield because they have the best RB IMO. Gurley is on another level in comparison to others.

I would put Bama 2nd because of Yeldon. He's a freak of nature APB.

LSU would be 3rd. Hill runs with great balance and shows a really nice burst through the hole. Also like his vision. He has a lot of upside.

The rest still have somewhat unproven RB's.

Manziel and (insert RB here) blows them all away. A&M has at least 4 studs to insert as well. Cracks me up that the team that led the league in rushing last year and returns their starters hasn't been mentioned because Manziel is a QB.

IMO you will see a lot more teams run 1 high safety and man up on the outside like LSU/UF did later in their games. Teams are going to try to take away Manziels running ability as much as possible and make him beat them with his arm. I see Manziel's rushing numbers dropping this year. JMO.

Best 'backfield?' How about the one that led the SEC in rush YPG (and YPA) and returns their leading RB, the SEC's reigning rushing champ, and a 5* transfer from OU that was the 3rd ranked RB recruit (nationally) in '11?

Relax. I obviously thought the OP was talking about RB's. Considering everyone else was talking about RB's, except for ATM fans.

In 2012, I had my attention span filled with Gurley, Marshall, Lacy, Yeldon, and Lattimore. Forgive me for not knowing who your arguably decent running back might be.
It will come back to you this year.

Lets not forget people about a Hillard as well. Had the sophomore slump but he will come back to form. Now you got, Hill, Blue, Hillard. Beat that 3 headed snake.

Hill was one of the best backs in the SEC last year. Will be top 3 this year behind Gurley and Yeldon

I'm good -- just talking some football

His rushing stats will go way down -- and he'll throw for 50-75 more YPG as a result.

The defense you describe sounds a lot like the 'cover 3' OU ran with absolutely zero success. In theory it cuts down on Manziel's running lanes, but it leaves you wide open to everything from the deep sideline route to the speed option. Even if Manziel decides to scramble, a flat-footed safety has little chance of making an open field tackle on him.

Face it -- to beat this team you're going to have to score a lot of points. Of course it can be done, but there's not going to be many 20-17 contests this year.

OU didn't have the athletes on D to play the type of D I described. Also, the DE's have to be very disciplined and the DT's have to know what to do with their gap assignments.
