How is Hill not on par with Yeldon???
I don't believe he is yet. He showed out at the end of the season do not get me wrong but Yeldon was magic every time he touched the ball it seemed.
The game should slow down for Hill this year though and he will be very dominant.

Hill and Yeldon are very different backs, IMO. If anything we should be comparing Blue and Yeldon (yes, I think Yeldon is better than Blue).

hat pretty much makes your opinion worthless bc you aren't paying attention.
In 2012, I had my attention span filled with Gurley, Marshall, Lacy, Yeldon, and Lattimore.
Forgive me for not knowing who your arguably decent running back might be.

Guy was just as dominant
Not even close.
T.J. Yeldon - 175 carries, 1108 yards, 6.3 YPC 12 TDs
Jeremy Hill- 142 carries, 755 yards, 5.3 YPC, 12 TDs
The only stat that's even close is TDs. Yeldon averaged a full yard more per carry and ran for 350 more yards on just 33 more carries. And I want to see more from Jeremy Hill before I declare him the next big thing. It seems like LSU has a freshman or sophomore RB that is hyped up every year and they end up being buried in the depth chart the following year. Last year, it was Kenny Hilliard. A few years ago, it was Keiland Williams. Before that, it was Justin Vincent. How do we know that Jeremy Hill will be different from those running backs?

Well see, that comment once again illustrates how little you have been paying attention to college football or to LSU. After lighting up Georgia in the 2011 SEC Championship and starting out 2012 on fire (started over Ware, Ford, Hilliard, Hill), he was unfortunately injured in the 3rd game of the season.

This is actually a good point. I am reserving judgment on Hill, as well.
As for the TDs, the reason he has those is bc he has so many breakaway runs. I seriously haven't seen a running back break so many long runs since Cecil Collins.

Good comparison. I really hope LSU executes the use of Hill/Blue properly. I love good football and those two could put on a show if used right.

I think most LSU fans will put Yeldon over Hill. That being said, Hill didn't really get a shot until the SCar game and he was a dominant runner from then on. There is no reason to believe he will have the Sophomore Slump that LSU backs have. Plus we don't have any freshmen coming in that could really take his place, this year will be a steady dose of Blue/Hill/Hilliard

I definitely agree. I think the offense could have a special year if everything comes together. I'm especially excited about the JC transfer WR Quantavius Leslie. He is tall, fast, can stretch the field and be a big end zone target. He's the receiver we've been missing. We've also got a really special player at TE in DeSean Smith. He's a hybrid TE and can split out wide - matchup nightmares.
Mett, of course, needs to play on the road like he did at home. If he can be more consistent, and the new offense under Cameron can be a little less predictable - LSU's offense will be very good in 2013.
That said, the defense will be young. So we'll see how this goes. There could be growing pains.

You should have learned who he was in 2011 when he torched ugs's D in the SEC Championship.
He was hurt last year.

Hill is interesting, he only started half the season and he was incredible. Can't wait to see what he does with a full season under his belt. Yeldon was extremely impressive as well, the question is tough to answer. I can't wait for the season to begin

Gurley and Marshall are the best tandem entering the season. As for Alabama, the spot for who rides Yeldons coat tail will be quite a fricking battle from spring on to the fall camp.

I feel like I should make it clear that I'm not saying which will be the best in the SEC, I'm just asking which everyone thinks will be better between the two.

I think Alabama has proven under Saban that by the end of the season they will have the best tandem, or at least be in the argument pretty much every year.

Marshall and Gurley will be better than both. Yeldon and RB2 will be the better of the 2 you mentioned.

We should be loaded in the backfield again and a lot of what AJ can do opens things up. There are a few tandems around the league that will be worth the price of admission to watch. Gurley and Hill are stud backs.

I dont know about tandem but the best back may still be in HS in Louisiana, seriously.

I still have high hopes for Drake and i think if given the chance, he could have a breakout season in 13. We shall see.
