I would think LSU, Alabama, Auburn, and Georgia will all take a slight step back next year.... which are 4 of the Top 5 teams. Not sure about Florida, though I know they're projected to have a few 1st and 2nd round draft picks, so they too might not be any better.

The league will be especially inexperienced at QB next year. Burrow, Tua, Fromm, and Bryant are all likely gone. Those are the Top 3 and arguably the Top 4 best QBs in the conference this season.

I think next year is going to be a rebuilding year for a lot of teams in the SEC. It could be a year of parity in 2020.

If Fromm comes back and we fire James Coley we should be better.

If ifs were fifths we’d all be drunk.

Yes that's true. But that depends on Fromm coming back. The good news is with Burrow, Tua, Herbert, etc., there's a lot of great QBs in this class. But I've seen Fromm projected as high as the first round.... others have him going in the 2nd or 3rd. If he gets a 1st round projection, I would think he'd go.

Who starts if Fromm doesn’t come back?

A&M should be better I'd think. Return most of their depth chart, trade @ Clemson for vs Colorado and trade @ Georgia for Vanderbilt.

They basically gain 2 wins just from the schedule.

First 6 games
vs Abilene Christian
vs North Texas
vs Colorado
Arkansas (DFW)
@ Mississippi St
vs Fresno St

Will probably be 6-0 and ranked in the Top 5/10 when they go to Auburn on 10/17.

@ Auburn
@ South Carolina
Ole Miss
Vanderbilt
@ Alabama
LSU

If they improve much they have a very real shot at being 9-1 or 10-0 heading into the Alabama/LSU final 2 weeks.

Good question. Our newest QB Dwan Mathis got some weird brain bleeding thing so he may never play football again, no idea. Our current backup Stetson Bennet, I think he's out of eligibility after this year. So maybe we can convince Plumlee to transfer and make up some bullshite to get him immediately eligible.

Auburn will be significantly worse, assuming Gus stays. However, the schedule is a bit easier, so the record will likely be similar.

Depends on the QB situations

LSU 100% loses:
QB Joe Burrow
LG Adrian Magee
RG Damien Lewis
DE Rashard Lawrence
DE Brieden Fehoko
CB Kristian Fulton

All seniors

And we could possibly lose:
LT Saahdiq Charles
C Lloyd Cushenberry
RT Austin Deculus
WR Justin Jefferson
TE Thadd Moss
RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire
DE Glen Logan
MLB Patrick Queen
MLB Jacob Phillips
OLB KLavon Chassion
S Grant Delpit

All Juniors

Our season really depends on whether or not our Juniors come back or not. I'm 99% sure Delpit leaves but wouldn't be surprised if every other junior comes back.

We could either just be replacing 2 Offensive linemen, or replacing all 5. Who knows

I think people are assuming UF will be better. Depends on who stays and leaves of course. We will have a good QB, decent Rbs, a better Oline, and still have some pretty good WRs and Pitts so no excuse for our offense to not be very good.

Defense is more worrisome. Henderson and Wilson both leaving would be stupid but possible. A lot of our Juniors who are thinking of going pro don't seem like first or second round guys besides Henderson, so not sure why they would.

Yea, Alabama's really could rely a lot on NFL decisions. If we lose all our tweener guys, we will have a lot to replace. If we get a bunch of the tweener guys back, we could have a lot of depth and a pretty good situation for Mac Jones/Taulia/Bryce Young to step into.

We'll return a boatload of folks on defense, but the offense hinges on some decisions (Wills, Leatherwood, N. Harris, Ruggs, D. Smith). And the defense has 2-3 as well (McKinney, Moses, NCAA decision on McMillon's 6th year).

Either Stetson Bennett or someone who transfers in.

UGA will have an improved defense next season, and how much worse can the offense be than this season?

AU may improve on the OL next year. Some JUCO guys and a healthy Troxel will help. We lose the anchors on DL, but have some raw talent there. WR/QB/RB will be better. With the easier schedule, AU is more of a push. And we have a legit talent in Tank coming in to spell DJ William's at RB.

Next year will be interesting.

LSU will be better on defense due to the recruiting class we appear to be pulling in this year.

The real question is, how much of this offense is Burrow and how much of it is Brady and just what is Brennan capable of?

I don’t expect Brennan to look like Burrow next year but I think he will be just fine.

Front 7, probably.

But losing JR Reed and Richard Lecounte at both Safety spots is going to hurt. There's going to be some growing pains there.

CEH ain’t coming back. He’d be stupid to. He isn’t going to help his draft stock by coming back and he’s had a really damn good year this year. Add that to the fact that running backs don’t have long careers in the NFL anyway, he needs to go make some money.
