Which teams are going to get the biggest benefit from the NIL?

I think has definitely helped Texas A&M versus where they have been. What other college have skyrocked due to NIL?
We are talking about recruiting more than anything.
I feel like Auburn has been hurt by NIL.

Auburn closed extremely well with NIL. Pulled 7 four stars in the final two weeks, kept Tank Bigsby, and are going to add another one or two four stars before signing day.
A&M, Texas, USC, and Miami are the schools I would watch out for to benefit the most.

It may ebb and flow during the early stages but I predict the traditional elite recruiting teams will remain the same as players have always been paid, be it under the table.
Everyone wants to blame NIL for the Aggie class but Jimbo has always been an elite recruiter and it was a banner year for Houston area prospects.
Also helped that Texas and LSU (two teams who traditionally compete for those prospects) were down the last two years and Aggie was up in 2020 and salvaged a win vs Bama from 2021.

The schools that already had a sophisticated network of bag men and procedures to get money to players, families, and handlers. It's legit now so they have a head start.

Saban will find a way. He always does.

We went from an abysmal program under Muschamp to a first-year head coach everyone doubted (including me) and now we already look to quickly be rebounding. What I thought would take years might only take 1 or 2 now.

I think most big-time schools will come to grips with NIL and it will gradually even out.

Teams that will benefit are those that have large fanbases and donors that have businesses they can justify spending for it. Especially localized fanbases as opposed to national as you are unlikely to see a lot of CFB players doing national ads.
Ohio State and Texas will do well as they are effectively the pro team for good sized metro areas (Columbus and Austin). A&M will do well because we have a boatload of alumni and money and BCS bleeds into Houston. Bama and Auburn will do well because there is no NFL team in Alabama and that state is more focused on CFB than any other. South Carolina and Clemson should actually be able to do fairly well. Not buying Miami as it is not a big football town, they will have some money to throw around for sure but it's still a small private school with a limited and fickle fanbase.
To be sustainable with NIL there needs to still be some value there. Businesses that actually care about wanting to see ads or be marketed to by college football players. We really won't know what that looks like for a few years.

A&M, Texas, USC, Florida in the short-term.
In the long term, these big money boosters are going to get tired of writing big checks every year, and NIL will have greatly reduced importance.
For instance, these guys who are going to pay UT offensive lineman 50k per year- if they don't see some conference titles and playoff appearances in short order, they will find other ways to spend that money. In fact, the money would be better spent just overpaying a great coach.

It's way more than that.
A large alum network with deep pockets that cooperate and coordinate + top notch facilities + momentum all factor into it.
I don't think anybody can come close to our alum network and nobody has better facilities. Momentum is a product of on-field results and recruiting, so it's a chicken/egg thing.

247 Sports has A&M ranked like 4th in terms of facilities.

Speaking of chicken/egg thing:
I am reminded of this cartoon I saw showing a chicken and an egg in bed together. The chicken was laying on his back, looking satisfied, smoking a cigarette. The egg was laying on her side, facing away from the chicken looking disappointed, with a caption "I guess that answers that question."
:rimshot:
(by the way, why did the rim shot emote quit working?)

Even if there is an actual difference between 1-10 on that list, I would still argue that facilities are not lagging behind, nor are they likely to anytime soon. In other words, nobody has better facilities.
