Which SEC team will be the first to build a retractable dome?

Nobody. It makes no sense for a college to build something like that.

It would be a huge multi-use facility.

Football, baseball, soccer. Even indoor track would be possible.

The cost would be nuts. But it would definitely be used.

The question for every campus is land space. Do they have it? Would it replace multiple facilities to save space? Land is expensive and doing something like this with a well designed plan could pay dividends and merit the cost.

This will never happen. I guess I shouldn’t say never, but what would be the point of this?

MLB in particular has these, because baseball season is in the unbearable heat of the summer and is boring as shite anyway. Fans want to be comfortable if they are going to spend $500 to take their family to a game.

CFB fans have a shorter season and most of it is in the cooler fall.
