Which SEC schools are a must to win 8 games or more to make sure they will be ready for a grueling tougher conference? I would say Missouri, Auburn, Kentucky, Ole Miss, and LSU.

UK’s schedule is more favorable in 2021 than it likely ever will be again. We have to take advantage of it this year.

Auburn just hired their coach and Ed had better get more than 8 wins or he is likely gone. With the off the field issues at LdU you can bet he had better win a lot of games. They’ll only put up with these other issues if a coach is winning.

that’s not the issue with a “tougher schedule moron”. Eight wins is a grounds for firing at LSU. Up until 2020, LSU had the highest winning percentage of all SEC schools at number 4 in the country. Bama passed us for 4th last season. 3 titles in 20 years and played in a 4th.

If he wins only 8 games this year while returning 18 starters and after that debacle last year, the shrimp boat captain will have plenty of spare time in 22 to do whatever he wants other than being the HC at LSU.

Do you realize LSU went 5-5? All I am saying is LSU is one that must win 8 or more games to be back to being competitive. Since LSU can't afford to have two years in a row of so and so record! Where was LSU ranked in the preseason before the season started last year? I'll be waiting for your answer.

Harsin will get time. Everybody gets 4 years unless they really mess up bad (Chad Morris).

Not my point! My point is it will hinder their chance to recruit and be able to compete at the next level when Texas and Oklahoma comes in the conference in 2022.

Actually LSU historical winning percentage is about .650.

So basically that averages out to 7-8 wins a year.

Anything above 7 wins a year is above your historical average and should be cause for celebration.

Many on here don't understand what I am saying! It is a do or die for those teams to get to 8 games this year to keep up with everyone else. At least be back on winning ways! This will be signaling moving in the right direction and getting ready for Texas and Oklahoma in the new schedule for 2022. Some might have a very tough one and others might be lucky to have it lite or in between. No one knows what the schedule will be like for 2022.

My point is Auburn is bringing in a HC with little to no ties with the SEC and this is the wrong time to be rebuilding and be going 6-6. Then you have a whole new schedule being set up when Texas and Oklahoma will be in it. That may hurt Auburn big time! That is why I am saying this with those I listed are critical to do well or they might take a step back.

I think his point was that if LSU goes 8-4 this year, people in Baton Rouge will be really pissed off. That would effectively be a repeat of 2020 (.500 conference record) and would mean the wheels really have come off.

The last LSU coach to have back to back seasons with a .500 or worse conference record was Gerry DiNardo - he was fired after the second one.

So you’re not wrong that LSU needs to win at least 8 games, it’s just that LSU fans would argue that an 8-4 season (or worse, 7-5 with a bowl win to get to 8-5) would actually be catastrophic.

That's an Orgeron problem, not an LSU problem.

I see 5 losses on that schedule.
