Which SEC program takes the biggest step back next year?

The candidates:
Missouri - Lock has covered up the fact that this is a program with inherent roster deficiencies almost across the board for a couple years now. If they aren't still scoring 40+ every week after Lock leaves, they'll be in trouble.
Kentucky - This is an upperclassman heavy two deep with two high end NFL prospects (Snell and Allen) which allowed them to win a lot of close slugfests. The bottom line though is Kentucky has bottom tier SEC talent overall and lose all the best parts of this year's team.
Auburn - A coach on the hot seat with a new QB and players that generally don't fit what that coach would ideally like to do offensively, all in the toughest division in the country, is not a recipe for success. Not sure that are at too big a risk of truly taking a step back given they went 7-5 next year, but I don't think they'll be very good next year and it will probably be Malzahn's last.
Mississippi State - Losing Fitzgerald and all the best parts of that great defense will hurt, and if they want a QB who can execute what Moorehead wants to do offensively they could be starting a true freshman.
Ole Miss - I only put them on this list because they could go from bad to "worst P5 team in the country" bad. Looking at their schedule and what they lose, I genuinely expect them to go 2-10.
Personally, my money is on State or Kentucky. I think both go from fringe top-15 teams to potentially not making a bowl game next year. The winner of their H2H matchup will probably finish 6-6 and the loser 5-7. I think OM is already bad enough that I can't consider even 2-10 the biggest step back.

Gotta be Kentucky, losing two of their top players in Snell and Allen.
Mizzou will drop hard too.

Wow! You can predict the future! Missouri will be fine and they should not have a hard time replacing Lock. Might not be as good as Lock but will still be good enough to get the team to another 8 or more win season. You really do not know what other teams will do or won't do next year. you are so silly!

Why post in this thread if you’re afraid of people predictions? Chill out.

My original answer would have been Arkansas but you know, can't really get worse.

How do you know? Missouri is going to have an easier schedule next year. Also Missouri shall have a quarterback that should do well enough to get the team to 8 or more wins! Why people think Missouri cannot find a replacement at quarterback? You are really that naive?

Based on recruiting rankings and 3 year NFL draft projections, only Vanderbilt, Missouri and Arkansas have equal or lesser overall talent than Kentucky.

And we know how reliable those recruiting rankings are. Butchy's Tennessee finished top 5 consistently, right?

Nope and most of the fans said Missouri hiring Dooley as OC was the worst Missouri have done so far. So far most of the fans that agreed to that were dead wrong! So again you you are going to say Missouri cannot find a good replacement after Lock leave at the end of the year?

Recruiting rankings are, generally speaking, the #1 predictor of success in college football. In any given year the final top-10 usually consists of 6-8 team with top-10 recruiting ranking averages in the 4 previous classes.

How has UK beaten South Carolina 5 years in a row if theyre recruiting classes have tended to be better than ours?

Arkansas went 2-10 and this was generally considered their worst team in the modern era. They can't really go backwards.
