Disagree. Deep down, they know their roll.

Its Auburn and it isn't even close....but I don't mean it in a bad way. Its just that AU seems to always play with a lot more emotion than other teams. The chip-on-the-shoulder/us against the world mentality has gotten them pretty far and it usually leads to winning games they shouldn't.

IMO, the "emotion" AU has is what has given them the edge over Alabama when both teams are fairly equal on the field for the last 20+ years. I constantly complain that Alabama seems to always come out in a shell against AU while AU seems to come out with their hair on fire.

So true.

The most delusional fans are Texas A&M fans. They actually think they are going to permanently take over the state of Texas. That is roll on the ground laughable.

LSU fans are more delusional than Auburn considering Auburn has won a national championship, SEC championship, and western division championship more recently than LSU.

LSU fans also think they are going to be great this year when nobody else really expects it

Almost as tasty as watching your team blow a 18 point lead in the natty. As bad as the iron bowl was, I honestly don't know which is worse.

Iron Bowl.

Not even close.

Ehhh, that sucked, but FSU was a much more complete team. I was just hoping to stay with them, going into the game. Auburn didn't have much of a shot against bama. bama was giving up less than a hundred yards rushing per game. Auburn can't throw the ball and is a one dimensional team. No way a one dimensional team will ever beat a saban D.

Your response oozes the emotion

Out of curiosity - which response? The first one?

This did not convince me that losing a 18 point lead in the natty feels better than losing a iron bowl at the last possible second, when your team has the ball.

Auburn fans will never be able to think about that iron bowl game without thinking about the championship. Ever.

On the flip side, everytime my mind wonders over the 3 of 4. I also think about the damn iron bowl afterwards.

Both games hurt bad. Dwi

I'll be honest, when Texas got the ball back in the 2010 SECCG with a chance to win, my thoughts were "well, if we lose at least we beat Tebow and at least we lost in the championship game." Now it might've sucked worse if it had actually happened but it would be relatively easy to stomach. That's probably how most AU fans feel...especially coming off the 3-9 season.

Compare that to having your rival end your chance at history in such a shitty way while at the same time putting them into position to win the SEC and a place in Pasadena.

After going 3-9 (0-8) just the year before. If you would have told me Auburn would be SEC Champs, and lose in the NC game, I would have taken that 100 out of 100 times.

So why are your thoughts now not "at least we won 3 of 4"?

Instead of, "our rivals ended our chance at history, blah blah blah, my butt hurts."
