Which NC-winning coach is most disliked by fans of a school for which he won?

Les Miles - some fans gave up on him before the NC in 2007. 2012 BCSNCG haunted the fanbase for years.
Paul Mainieri - similar to Les, fans say the game has passed him by.
Nick Saban - boils down to jealousy. Some LSU fans love him for awakening a giant, others loathe him for turning the Tide into a dynasty.
Gene Chizik - flash in the pan as his success revolves around Cam. Tigers soon went into a hole.
Phil Fulmer - is 1998 title overshadowed by his terrible AD tenure?
Ray Tanner - great baseball coach, terrible AD. I somehow doubt he is hated by his fanbase though.
Rick Pitino - not entirely sure how UK fans view Slick Rick these days, but the rivalry with Louisville hit a fever pitch from 2012-14.
Nolan Richardson - I don’t know if his exit divided the fanbase. I know there were cries of racism. In the social media era, this would have been a huge issue.
Ed Orgeron - LSU fans love to hate a guy who has won. The jury is still out on him, but some fans have stopped waiting. They’d rather see him lose if it validated their opinions.
Vince Dooley - he clearly put a curse on UGa. There’s no other explanation for the Dawgs coming up short in the quest for a natty. It’s only a matter of time before this secret comes out and Vince is vilified.
ETA: reworded title to avoid confusion.

It has to be Tanner. It's a shame he's tarnished his legacy at South Carolina. The man is simply not qualified for the job and as turned the 3 big men's sports into total shitshows.

Look how many of them are LSU coaches. I'd have to go with Ray Tanner on this list

Why is Saban on this list? Bama fans hate him now?

Because OP is an LSU fan and various LSU coaches have won national championships recently

Doesn't make a lot of sense, does it?

Richardson hate is mostly gone nowadays.

The answer is Ray Tanner. Imagine how bad of an AD you have to be to lose all the goodwill from 2 national titles.

Are you under the impression that Nick Saban is from Louisiana?

I implied ‘home fans’ to mean fans of a school where said coach won a title. So yes, it’s fair to wonder if LSU fans love or hate Saban.

Home fans = home team (for sake of this thread). Saban isn’t from Alabama either. Miles isn’t from Louisiana. Richardson wasn’t from Arkansas. Pitino isn’t from Kentucky, etc

Our fanbase is fickle. What other coaches qualify?
Bama fans aren’t known for disliking Bear or Stallings. Same for Florida fans with Urban, Donovan, O’Sullivan. Maybe Spurrier is a question mark. In all seriousness, I assume Dooley is revered in Georgia. Broyles and Vaught...same.

Outside of Tater Tot, I don't think you see AU fans with the irrational obsession of former coaches that you see out of other fanbases. Looking at you arky.
Appreciate Chiz...didn't work out.

I love Chiz. I have no real clue how dirty the Cam business was. Gene maneuvered that shitshow, kept the team focused and beat ALL y'alls asses. He is the one and done man in my book.
