For me it is LSU vs Arkansas. We play them at ARKY the week after Bama in mid-November, Possible shitty weather with a Sam Pittman team that is poised to be pretty stout and good again.

Game 1 against Georgia State.

SC never seems to play well in openers and Georgia State is coached by former South Carolina interim head coach Shawn Elliot.

@Tennessee.

Top-25 caliber squad, great qb, and a potentially lethal offense. Not to mention that the prior 2 weeks are a tough game @Arkansas and an emotionally charged matchup versus Texas A&M

11 AM matchup vs Texas. Who in their right mind thought it'd be a good idea to schedule an 11AM game in Austin in September? Any guesses at the over/under on number of fans carted out due to the heat?

Still one of my favorite Gamecock coaches of all time. Even before I knew what the Muschamp years would look like, I wish we would have hired him over Muschamp.

Fun Fact, Elliot was the OC at App State when they beat Michigan in 2007.

Same. I know it's kind of been a joke about Florida crushing UT's dreams, but they are beyond due to surprise someone big and this year is set up well for them.

I don't think they're going to be much better than 8-10 wins, but they'll get a shocker in.

UT game has me a little nervous. Probably be some game I'm not expecting that could trip us up though.

@Miss St. Leach has pulled some big ones in the past, that offense is hard to prepare for, and Kirby's gameplan against them last time was atrocious.

South Carolina. While they haven't beaten us since we joined, they've played us tough a few times and they should be greatly improved this year. I don't expect it to be the gimme that it's been the past few years.

LSU. After the arse whooping we laid down in Baton Rouge last year, I’m worried that our defense might hurt one of those dainty Bryan Kerry players when they tap dance into JHS this year

Max, O, and Peetz handed that game to you on a silver platter.

I am grateful for that game in retrospect. We now have neither O nor Peetz meanwhile AUB still has Harsin who they hate

It has been a brutally hot summer in Texas this year, historically so, but as of right now the summer heat has broken early and it's actually unusually cool through the next week or so.

Fingers crossed it stays that way into September. If the heat cranks back up to 105-107 like it was for most of July, it's going to be miserable.

Hot weather favors the team with the most depth....who do you suppose has that?
