When LSU wins the NCAA BB championship this year they will be the second school to ever hold the football and basketball championship in the same academic year. That will also make them the 4th to ever have a championship in the big 3. Football, basketball, and baseball.

What SEC school will they be joining that has a football and basketball championship in the same year?

Who are the 3 schools that have a championship in the big 3?

Hint: they are all power 5 schools, 2 are in the same conference.

UCLA does not have a football title

Not 100% but pretty sure USC doesn’t have a basketball title

Betting at least one of them is a team like Illinois or something who won 2/3 titles in question pre-integration

UF is the only right answer so far

UF has FB and BB in the same year.

FB, BB, Basball.

UF

I really thought there would have been more teams to have won all 3 at some point.

I'm surprised UCLA never won a football title.

Wait: add an asterisk. UCLA claims 1954 NC and won 2013 CWS.

I stand corrected. It appears UCLA 1954.

1954. UCLA, Ohio St - FWAA, UPI, AP

UCLA has won one national championship. This consensus national championship is claimed by the school.

OSU also claims the championship from the same year.

Oh, ye of little football knowledge.

Yes, UCLA does, indeed, have a football national title: 1954 (and they claim it). They went 9-0 and were voted #1 by 7 national polling services including UPI. Ohio State won the AP poll.

It's the same for when Arkansas will win another Regular Season SEC Championship. It has been a quarter of a century...
