I thought UGA was outstanding in their kickoff return game and their punter is the best I’ve seen in the SEC since JK Scott.

Didn't have quite as good a night....but we avged. 26.8 yards a kick return and Alabama avged 22.

Our punter averaged 49 yards a punt, while Alabama avgd 32.8

Were those not good enough or up to your specifications?

Kirk Herbstreit said it was the biggest blow to Alabama's coaching staff.

In short you are triggered by Kirk Herbstreit?

Dude.

Not a fair comparison.

Only one of Bama’s punts were full field length. All the rest were successful efforts to pin UGA deep (All those were fair caught at the UGA 15 or less).

Our guy shanked the full field punt, but the rest of his did exactly what you want your punter to do even though it hurts the average in the stat box.

I'm guessing that punter is hanging those punts high for the coverage team to get down field either way.
Certainly he did that, but he averaged 49 yards a punt, too. I know you were not criticizing the punter, but I don't get anybody criticizing him. At all.

Okay.

I get that, but you (or another poster) seemed to be criticizing our punter. He averaged 49 yards a punt and Waddle rarely had anything to run back. Shoot. Our punter was the big highlight of the night for us!

Here is the post I was taking exception with:
I thought UGA was outstanding in their kickoff return game and their punter is the best I’ve seen in the SEC since JK Scott.

I might also add that the punter (Camarda) is averaging 50.7 yards a punt.
Maybe it's just me, but that sounds pretty good.

Well, SOMEBODY needed to!

Honestly, even when we were leading I felt like the dam might break at any moment....until finally it did. You guys play good hard nosed football and kept the pressure on all night. We had not faced anything like that in quite awhile.

Hopefully we can go back to the drawing board and improve and be ready for the SECCG if we can get through the rest of our schedule.
