Zion's dad said last night that it was decided by a coin toss. He said Zion couldn't decide between us, the taters, UNC and Duke so he literally just narrowed it down and decided by coin toss.

ETA: meant Kentucky, not UNC.

I just read something on Twitter where he (stepfather) said Clemson lost "a mile and a half" lead and he's not sure why.

He said in the end it appeared to be all even between SC, Clemson, Ky and Duke.

Did you see the way the taters lost their fricking minds on Twitter last night?! I had the former mayor of Mt Pleasant come at me via Twitter bc of something an ESPN reporter said about the taters being in a foul mood last night. She was mayor there for quite a while.

LOL ... yep, I followed the melt, and it was epic, their tears were flowing like the Savannah from Aiken to the coast.

My favorite was Tiger Mike's rampage about Duke paying Zion at the last minute and that Zion's parents will soon be moving to Durham with a new house and new jobs.

When I was watching the press conference on my phone out in the parking lot after our game I had a feeling something was up. His mother looked very uncomfortable and his stepdad sort of had this, "oh well, get ready for the backlash" look on his face like, "frick it, here we go ... and if you don't like what's coming frick it."

Told my Son it was about to be either Kentucky or us ... was surprised it was Duke.

I give Coach K three more seasons max ... which makes me feel old given how well I remember us not hiring him in favor of Bill Foster. Of course Duke turned around and hired Coach K while Coach Foster had a heart attack and was never the same for us afterwards ... I think he resigned in '86.

Duke definitely had the ball bounce their way on that one.

I had no idea they pulled for Clemson basketball till last night.

Thought they were all UNC or Duke fans once basketball started

I work with a few Duke grads who literally had no clue this was happening.
One of them didn’t even watch/pay attention because he really didn’t assume they were even close

You realize people say this because it actually happens, right? kU is really good at this as well.

I think he was bringing it up because it's extremely hypocritical of Clemson, as they are well versed in the same practice with their football players.

why are you talking about this on a thread about a player, who didn't even chose Clemson?

Why did you make an account on a SEC message board as a cLemson fan?

This doesn't make any sense.

the average clemson fan hates Duke and UNC.

why do you root for a SEC team if you didn't attend a SEC college. given you are a sidewalk fan, why not root for a better football program than SC?

so many questions.

if Clemson pays football players, why not basketball players too?

it would make more sense for Clemson to pay basketball players give the relative lack of success in that sport at Clemson.
