They've been doing it for years. It's no secret. There's no way you sign the #1 class year after year without money changing hands. And the first time someone else did it Saban raised holy hell.

Exactly…. It’s called gaslighting

Saban blamed A&M for also doing what he’d already been doing

I love how Saban calmly making a brief comment has turned into him "raising holy hell."

aTm and jimbo have been given a hard time about their class for a whole year. Bama did the same this year, and it will show later today when they sign Ricks.
A&M hasn't played for a conference championship since the beginning of 1999. They are 1/24 in that time period for 10-win seasons.

Nick Saban has won 6 national titles since the beginning of 2009. Alabama is 14/14 in that time period for 10-win seasons.

They are not remotely comparable

Bama doesn’t and hasn’t ever denied that they buy their class. A&M got all pissy with their coach leading the charge saying that every kid they signed loved A&M and bought in to what they were building. In essence, they lied when they didn’t have to. That’s why folks gave them shite.

Saban just said last year that not one player was paid.

""We were second in recruiting last year. A&M was first. A&M bought every player on their team. Made a deal for name, image and likeness. We didn't buy one player. (LOL) I don't know if we're going to be able to sustain that in the future because more and more people are doing it."

Nah. But they’ll get blasted when they miss the playoff again, after signing said number 1 class.

Alabama did not have a collective last year. Texas A&M did. They were supposed to be against the rules.

Alabama did have a collective this year, it was formed in March of this year IIRC. As a response to it appearing nothing was going to happen to A&M.

If you want to say collectives should be against the rules, I'll say it already is and I hope all schools that have them get in trouble.

Btw, that would include LSU.

Baton Rouge NIL Club - LSU Tigers Collective

So you can join me in being against them completely. Or you can keep crying because you just got outbid.

I'm not talking about collectives. I'm talking about buying players. He literally said, "We didn't buy one player."

It's been going on so long no one cares. Especially when he still can't make it to the playoffs.

Saban will retire before the big 100 million a year collectives get underway at Texas, Oregon, Oregon, Ohio State, etc. That, basically anyday transfers and expansion of playoffs are going to be end of bama and Georgia’s bullshite.
