Well the alternative is the Dabo route

It’s weird how this board almost universally agrees with Saban on NIL but some just can’t get over their Hate Boner for the guy

It’s easy to buy players when you can offer less than the other guy and still get the player. Alabama+500,000> LSU+1M is what we are seeing.

Not that LSU could outbid anyone lol

Once again, Saban asks, "Is this what you want college football to be?" and when you answer "yes" he proceeds to adapt and dominate. Then you cry.

Welp, Jimbo bought a class and won 5 games, with a fair sized part of it leaving in the portal this year.

Nick just points out it’s been over 10 years since Bama had less than 7 players taken in the draft, and almost 50% of all 5 star players drafted were from Alabama since Nick arrived.

Want to play in the NFL? Bama is your best chance to get there.

NIL is just a cake topper.

He asks the question pretty frequently… “Is this what you want college football to be?”

Then he adapts and kicks people’s teeth in with the same rules he openly detests.

Sucks, doesn’t it? One day you people will listen to the GOAT.

Show me where a recruit talked about NIL and signed with UA because of it. Specifically with UA. Show me where insiders have thrown out numbers regarding NIL and our commits.

I can link to you on the LSU board this though.

From what I’ve been able to piece together, he was definitely was going to sign with LSU today and announce tomorrow. Alabama swooped in with cold hard cash, not NIL, cash. Either we aren’t able or willing to match, I don’t know. Every insider report said LSU had the best NIL package

If you think a team paying a high school recruit over 5 million is winning you couldn’t be more wrong.

Love these gems.

Do you really think all these guys are getting money for NIL? Companies won't be using these incoming freshman for their products.

Are you really this... tell you what, go take a look at Arch Manning's NIL deals and get back in touch with the board.

They went there for chargers and challengers before. Now they are getting offered millions.

I don't think we agree on much, but this is college football now.

Needing a corner and passing up a current starter are two different things. Eli Ricks may declare for all we know.

Alabama has 11 underclassmen scholarship DBs on the roster right now and I don't recall any DBs being in the portal. Then there are 5 more juniors. I wouldn't imagine all 5 juniors are declaring for the draft. How is Alabama thin in that position group? What am I missing?

A&M broke the rules last year because the deals aren’t supposed to be contingent on which school you choose.

The issue AGAIN is that the worthless, inept NCAA has decided to not enforce the rules leaving us with anarchy and chaos.

So now all the other schools are saying fine, we don’t like the new anarchy but if that’s what it’s going to be then we will do what we have to in order to compete.

I despise NIL era cfb. Don’t care if Bama boosters are bringing home top recruits, it’s an abysmal sport to follow with the portal involved.

I’d argue CFB died last year and we are now watching minor league NFL.

Ricks is choosing between million dollar NIL deals as we speak, one of which is from LSU.

If you are not playing NIL in the SEC in 2022 you are going to be Vanderbilt, it’s not possible to win at a high level without making deals.

I curse the NCAA for destroying the sport, but no one with a top 15 class has clean hands at this point.

I agree with this, but I just don't see how sustainable this model is even from a financial standpoint. Boosters may have a lot of money, but with some of the outrageous NIL numbers we're hearing about, will or even can these boosters continue to allocate tens of millions to pay for a football team ever year? And what's really in it for them from an ROI standpoint? It's one thing to put up big money to buyout a coach once in a blue moon or put up money for a massive stadium project. But putting up tens of millions every single year just to keep players on your football roster? These boosters didn't get rich lighting millions on fire every year. Just seems like there will have to be a tipping point

It's funny how you guys STILL don't get it.

Saban says, "Is this how you want to do it? Because it's bad for football."

Everyone, "You're just jealous! Time is passing you old man!"

Saban does the thing everyone else did, but better.

Everyone, "No! Stop! You're not allowed to do the thing you complained about!"

Look, you guys keep making the "Saban rules" and then he just steps in a reams you using the same rules you claimed would "level the playing field."

Outside of Georgia, who isn't being a BITCH, everyone else just whines when he steps in and shows you that any rule or change you make, he's going to use. It doesn't matter if he pointed out its flaws - if you keep them in place, he'll operate within those as well and, well...

Hope you stocked up on lube.

No way Bama offered him anywhere close to that kind of money.
