You must not be very smart to not be able to piece that together.

In all but one of those matchups, the second matchup winner hold the first winner to within a TD of the scores of the first game, but their offense did a lot better.

Which would mean, if this is actually a legit pattern, Bama is still likely to score in the 30's in the rematch, and UGA would have to score in the 50's for this pattern to continue with the 21+ rematch win.

I'm not buying it.

You're looking at it wrong.

In all of the games, a game was decided by a TD or less and the other by 3+ scores.

That trend can still hold. Although, not sure Dawg nation is ready for another 1 possession game late in the 4th.

None of the others won their first game by 17 either. Dumb.

Georgia shouldn’t have made the playoff. They had their chance. As much as I hate bama y’all did what y’all always do and knock the barely cracked door open. The sec cg should have been respected and ND or Baylor put in the 4 spot

Georgia has a better shot to win than anyone else in the conversation but they shouldn’t be there

The two best teams are playing for the national championship.

Just like in 2011.

Why does it look like 1996 wasn't 21 points?

Agreed but just because y’all are the two most talent teams doesn’t mean we need two games of it.

Let’s say Georgia wins that shouldn’t invalidate a game that took place literally two games ago with a championship on the line.

It in fact will invalidate it but it shouldn’t.

I might. Might. Would give them a pass if it was a nail biter on the road or if they were playing with a massive player down who got healthy. Instead it’s the opposite. It was a neutral to pro Georgia fanbase and bama has lost guys to injury.

It’s a national championship. Not a regional one. Georgia already lost in the regionals.

This is the first time the initial matchup was decided by more than 1 score though.

All those except Alabama vs LSU had something extremely crazy to effect the 2 games.

Bama has never been beat in a same year rematch so I guess that balances the voodoo! Bama also defeated a highly ranked Florida team 2 times in one year. Seems we got this.
