Vanderbilt is literal dog water and is TERRIBLE year in and year out. I honestly don't think that they could win the sun belt. The SEC needs to get rid of the nerds.

They dominate on the diamond. We need them since LSU has given up on baseball.

This is honestly posted as much, if not more, than all the off season threads ranking uniforms and stadiums.

Vanderbilt is a charter member. They are not going anywhere.

Founding member and a fun, cheap road trip for opposing fans. Not to mention they let a woman score points against Tennessee which was hilarious

Can we get a sticky listing the many reasons the SEC will never kick Vanderbilt?

Or at least an easy to reference thread with bullet points?

"Well I think we will keep Vandy for 1, 4, 7, and 13... but my buddy thinks 5 and 6 are even more important reasons to keep them."

They are a dominant baseball school and are always competitive in basketball.

Plus they are the SEC's only private university so they will never be kicked out. Sorry

Never. You suggest a dangerous precedent without thoughtfully analyzing long term impacts IMO.

While a lot of us only focus on what happens on the gridiron, there are other sports that our schools participate in.

To be fair, the OP has only been around since September of this year. He very likely thinks this may be an original thought.

Wait for it... his next thread: "I forgot Mizzou was in the SEC"

2. Baseball

3. Academics

Nashville is one of those cities like Austin
Why would you want to kick that city out of the SEC landscape
I really think Vandy could be a destination place for college football
If their baseball team can do it I don't see how their football program couldn't be a player with the right coach

Vandy is a private school, and their status as a private school means SEC meetings and financial information cannot be subjected to FOIA requests. Vandy isn't going anywhere.
