He's a young "old". He's also driven, and has a purpose in life.

Back in the 80's, Bear Bryant said "I can't coach them anymore". He died within 2 years.

Do you see any such decline in Nick Saban? I don't. I did see him smile once this year, maybe that's a sign?

He used to be our old man... we had him first... damn les miles had to coat tail a natty and prevent us from rehiring him after miami... those could have been OUR NATTIES.

Real talk though, think of how many national championships LSU would have had with saban as coach. He wins one with Russel, Flynn, perrilou, jefferson/lee Mett. And those are just the QBs miles was able to get. Imagine if they were COACHED LOL. Louisiana is a absolutely STACKED every year. Saban is a monster recruiter, he gets all of LAs top 10 every year plus anyone he wants from the country if he was at LSU.

IMO saban at LSU would have been MUCH MUCH scarier than at bama. He probably wins 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, (good chance cam comes to LSU so maybe 2010) 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, and 2017.

This isn't bitching btw. Just throwing out thoughts. I have mad respect for Saban and what he has done to bama. And good luck when we play in Nov.

No argument there, I agree with about 1/3 of your years. He caught lightning in a bottle at Bama though, and is about to topple Bear Bryant (if luck holds out) at a true Blue-Blood college football program. I think the rumors of Saban leaving Bama have panned out. Bama is where he will retire. The question is when.
