I’m watching a rerun of a Wisconsin vs TCU game when Bielema was kinda in shape. Did coaching at Arkansas make him stress eat?

It was a combination of eating a lot and drinking a lot on Dickson Street.

The barfly he was living with caused his bodily fluids to react in a special way. The more of her he ate the higher his calorie count went.

His mom says he is doing much better now.

He was never a slim fella, but I miss Bert’s presence here.

Getting away from Alvarez and coaching in the SEC brought his drinking and eating way up. He wasn't prepared for a tougher conference and had no clue on how to adapt.

Beating up on Les Miles by a combined score of 48-14 in 2015-16 and taking that dumbass' lunch money

Yet Bert lost to Toledo during that time.

Really a bizarre season when you look at it, beating OM and TN on the road (when both were good) and losing to TTU and Toledo. Could've been a contender with some better defense, like what y'all had in 2014

Arkansas firing Bert and Jen was one of the worst mistakes in the SEC since letting A&M join.

The defense wasn't as good in 15 but the offense was more explosive when Brandon Allen decided to not play scared anymore. Before that he was almost benched.

That was a 11 win team but Bert didn't take advantage. The only game that Arkansas didn't have a case of winning was against Alabama and yet Arkansas had a lead going into the fourth quarter.

The A&M game, Bert always found a way to lose in close games. The Miss State game was lost when Bert went with a field goal instead of going with a quarterback that one of the best games of his career. That game knocked us out of the Sugar Bowl.

losing to TTU and Toledo
TTU was deadset on beating us because Queensbury got butthurt by Bielema running his mouth and we weren't going to stop Mahomes that game either.

Toledo was a combination of playing at a neutral site, breaking in a new OC, and trying to figure out how to bounce back from J-Wills injury (during fall camp) and Keon Hatcher getting hurt as well. The weird thing about that game is that Brandon Allen threw for 412 yards BUT 0 touchdowns. If the BA who played later in the season played that game we win by 3 TDs. It took the 4 OT game vs. Auburn for BA to just say "F it" and he just started slinging it all over the field. With that being said - Toledo wasn't a garbage team but it was a game we should have won.

Nothing ----- nothing compared to getting stomped by North Texas and Western Kentucky or giving San Jose State their biggest win in over a decade. I'd take a drunk fat as frick Bielema over strung out on red bull skinny skank Aggie Morris. I'm just glad we don't have to deal with either anymore.

Jesus, that's a big fella. I'd be dwarfed compared to him. I'm 5'9" and 150 lbs. Easily less than half his weight, and probably six or more inches shorter than he is.

Bert is 6-1 and I would say 230-250ish in the first picture. I think he gets well over the 300 pound range in the later pictures. He started gaining weight before he got here. So the stress at Wisconsin was getting to him even then.

It makes me sad to watch someone get big like that, because I think of all of the mental pain he must be experiencing that's resulting in rapid weight gain. I'm not one of these typical in-shape guys who takes pride in being stuck-up to fat people. Almost half of the country is afflicted with either obesity or borderline obesity, and that almost always stems from mental health problems that is medicated by a poor diet.
