That 7 against UT seemed like it lasted 20 years. That night after that 2002 win, I had never seen Gatlinburg party like it did. It went on literally all night long with roll tides ringing through the hills. One of the underrated wins in tide history.
Only thing better in recent years was 36-0 IB. Tuscaloosa was on fire after that game. That could be arguably the biggest win ever over the Tigers.

Some UGA fans would probably argue we aren't. That said, pretty obvious UGA is SC's biggest conference rival. Not even close really. Only team you've had consistently on your schedule before joining.

Always have to laugh at this place for down voting a non opinionated post that doesn't really try to discredit anyone. Hell, we've got a longer losing streak against two of the teams than winning streak.

I was coming home from Lexington after UGA won up there to go 8-0. The Bama folks were out in force.

It probably didn't help much that you also had Arkansas and Texas on the schedule when they were legit national powerhouses. Beating both teams in '66 is a hell of an accomplishment given how much of a roll they were on.

Egg Bowl

State won 13 in a row 1911-1925

Ole Miss was 14-0-3 from 1947-1963.

In fact from 1947-1973, Ole Miss was something like 21-2-4 against State. Since 1973 the series is roughly even.

‘67 was Bellards one good year. He beat DKR, Broyles, and Bear that season.
