By worst, I mean "OOC" should not have lost too.

Both of these were bad:

Wisconsin in the 2014 Outback Bowl, when they were coached by the Athletic Director

Florida State in the 2013 BCSNCG, after blowing a huge lead

Barry odom

Tie between losing to Middle Tenn, and 0-2 vs Kentucky. Both are terrible losses, one is 2 a midmajor, another to the Rutgers of SEC football.

Getting skull dragged by Purdue at home last year. My dad was at that game and he said he never heard louder boo's in all his life in that stadium when it got to be 35-3 in the 3rd Qtr. It got the point to where I thought the whole town was gonna grab their pitchforks and torches and march to Odom's house that night.

That was the only game I missed last year and thank Christ I did.

That loss is what got me on the fire Odom train. Rock M Nation published an article that summed it up pretty well after that loss. Here's what they wrote.

quote:

In 10 years running this site, I’ve developed the reputation of a sunshine pumper, but really, all I’ve tried to deliver is perspective. Short-term perspective blinds us from what is actually good in the long-term. But there’s no sunshine pumping here. There was no fight, there was no tactical vision, there was minimal effort. It’s hard to imagine a team, or a coach, coming back from that. Purdue didn’t even have to shift into second gear to build a lead.

The Boilermakers dominated in trenches (where they hadn’t yet proven they were capable of dominating) and needed only basic offensive concepts — things Mizzou had to have seen on film — to move the ball at will. Missouri had no answer to things it had to have known was coming. Simply put, Missouri mailed it in.

There is nothing more damning than that.

This was pathetic, and a lot of well-paid coaches have to be embarrassed for letting this performance happen on their watch. They had no control over what their team did, and when you hit a low this low, there’s really no reason to think you’re going to rebound.

You know it's bad when one your school's major sports websites publishes an article telling your fan base that your coach sucks and needs to GTFO.

Georgia Southern overall.

I guess Kentucky last year since he’s been at South Carolina.

Moorhead has only been the Head Coach of a FCS School: Fordham. So he has lost to some FCS Schools but relative to his competition they aren't bad losses. His two worst are the two FCS losses he had to FCS teams with a losing record:

2012(Moorheads first season improves the team with 5 more wins): at Bucknell (finished 3-8)
2013(improved their record by 6 more wins, made the FCS Playoffs for the rest of his tenure) : vs Lafayette (finished 5-7)

Overall he finished 38-13 in 4 seasons(3 of them reaching the FCS Playoffs) with two bad losses in his first two. So not bad. Even knocked off a few bad FBS programs like Temple and Army.
