Yes, 1960 was Devine's 3rd year at Mizzou. Frank Broyles' asst. Jim McKenzie recruited much of that senior class which was largely from Missouri and obviously had success, but I don't think Broyles liked Faurot telling him to keep recruiting Missouri kids first,
The rest is history, of which I'm sure Arkansas is happy with through the 60s and 70s, as are we.

Some of this does remind me of Dabo when Clemson was Clemsoning (the first time). He would pull some crazy shite like "we're the only team undefeated vs ranked SEC teams in the month of September the last 3 years"

I come here to cuss, fuss and discuss sports. Yes, some take it way too seriously, or refuse to actually research what they are talking about, but for the most part we are all just having fun.

I enjoy the hell out of this place. I wouldn't hang out here otherwise. Sometimes folks can get in a rut however, and I appreciate the more creative and original posts to the repetitive response threads.

This is why everyone in Baja Oklahoma pines for the south in the manner they do. Meet a Texan and they'll claim theyre from the south. I accept the whole over weight, middle aged trailer living man who brags on their team....that is kind of the point of these boards and most Americans are overweight well before reaching middle aged and living in a trailer aint no shame....but no real life accomplishments? Given the state of the world today living to middle age, earning enough to be fat and have a trailer to live in is no mean accomplishment. If they have managed to get some old gal to put up with them for longer than she didn't and maybe produced a couple of kids who kind of like the dude I would say that bastard has done a helluva lot in life....even if he is a damned Alabama or LSU fan.
