The electric 3-star all purpose back outta West Monroe, La. Felt like the kid has potential to do some good things and was hoping LSU would've pursued. Is he making any noise or is he destined for a redshirt year?

That's the kid that got all pissy about Mainieri not recruiting him hard enough for baseball. Changed his tune about playing baseball when Saban told him he wouldn't be allowed to. Seemed like just another attention seeking dickbag (like most recruits, regardless of where the go to school).

You should ask on the LSU board. His uncle is an LSU fan and could probably give you better info.

He did get Minkah's #29, so there is that. Big deal in that Minkah was known as "Saban's son" and a clear favorite to CNS for their similarities in prep, self accountability and standards/discipline.

He has good size, okay speed, good quickness, and reports on good route running. But, unless he finds a niche on STs, I think he RSs and tries to compete for a rotation at slot down the road.

Hahah what? He was told he could play both just like Holcomb that plays both. Other recent receipts have also been told they can play both and have said as much to the media.

Will provide depth at safety and might get some special teams action.

Could be another tweener based on size and athleticism that gets lost in the shuffle if he doesn't firm up a role soon. Agreed though, he needs to put his effort into making a name on STs

Doubt it. He only worked in the secondary during the spring because we were short on numbers. Same thing happened to Devonta Smith. Slade will most likely work at receiver when practice starts next month. Who knows about a redshirt right now. I think he will find a role over the next few years. Was a beast in high school.

We have way more depth at receiver than we do at safety.

I know we need more help at safety and maybe he ends up there but I am pretty sure his uncle said he was back with the receivers. Some guys are just offensive players and I think it's true with this kid. We will see but I would still bet we see him on the field at receiver if and when he plays.

agreed, but it is always hard to tell with CNS, as he will experiment with skill players on both sides of the ball to see where they excel, provide depth, and/or simply help them get a look/appreciation for the other side of the ball at a high level.

Multiple players have done it.

Though, given the different personnel groupings on D, a talented player always has opportunities from will lowery, to vinnie, to levi. I just think Bolden has a skillset that may develop well on STs or in the slot. We'll see how the offense evolves under Locksley, and how team needs evolve this yr and next.

Jesus Christ, are all you Louisianans inbred? Or is it just the ones on the SECr?

Have no idea who u r talking about.

With that said, if Saban signed him, he will have a good career at Bama.
