What's the significance of the Georgia Guidestones being built in 1980?

Im asking questions, thinking out loud, not sure where I'm heading with this
I'm not making fun of Dawgs/1980 because Arkansas' last football Natty was admittedly in 1977
But Jimmy Carter of Georgia was still running our country in the ground as president in 1980
Georgia Guidestones, 1980, promising to depopulate us - depopulation being a fancy word for killing us all
Iranians took us hostage - thanks Jimmy Carter
Georgia
1980

1980
It keeps being a thing

I hope the people who made those really believed the world was over populated and killed themselves off.
But for some reason, these people think it's everyone else that needs to go, not them. Funny how that works huh?

But why did they built them in Georgia?

They say the person who had them built is unknown but I have heard rumors that it was Ted Turner. I've seen them before, it seems weird out in the middle of nowhere like it is

What are we talking about? Been in GA 23 years and never heard of them.
Edit: Just looked them up. What a random-arse post Harry!

Isn't Pat Dye from Georgia?
And then Auburn did all that corrupt degenerate cheating?
Coincidence?

They are on Hwy 77 between Elberton and Hartwell. It's a concrete structure with some strange message on it part of which is something about the ideal world population being only a few million. It's pretty weird

Seems like they are trying to make somekind of long lasting monument that in 500 years people will think is from the gods or some shite.
I hope they fall down.

They are granite slabs. Elberton is a huge granite producing area. I'm thinking they are there because they are pretty heavy and whoever built it didn't want to move them far.

I still cannot believe that the Georgia Guidestones are real. Just drop evil statements then place cameras all around to prevent anyone from removing the evil.

Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,
half sunk, a shattered visage lies.
And on the pedestal, these words appear:
"My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;
Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
the lone and level sands stretch far away.

I thought Notre Dame won the title in 1977.

I’ve been there a couple times. Pretty cool

Thomas Malthus And his economic theories were fun back in highschool and college debate team meets. I believe he is the root for the stones in Georgia.
