Will likely be the top conference as usual.

Obviously the transfer portal additions can effect this throughout but as of now If I had to predict

West:
LSU
Alabama
Ole Miss
Miss State
Texas AM
Arkansas
Auburn

East:
Georgia
South Carolina
Tennessee
Kentucky
Florida
Missouri
Vanderbilt

Buy:

Alabama, LSU, Auburn, UGA, Tennessee

On the fence:

OM / S.Car

Sell:

The rest. But I admit, I haven't paid super close attention to the east this year.

Auburn wasn't last this year with Harsin (half-season). We won't be last with Freeze.

I don’t think anyone is competing with LSU next season!
LSU #1 then it’s a big drop off to the rest!

Fair point. What is going on with the Auburn QB situation? Looking at transfer or is Ashford going to be the guy next season?

I honestly believe Ashford has some solid potential if he continues to develop throwing the ball down the field.

Bama rebuilding
UGA rebuilding
LSU stacked
Tenn one hit wonder
Fla Napier may not survive
Ole Miss Kiffin loses to Tulane and begs for that job when Fritz leaves for Power 5

LSU probably falls off heavily. I'm interested to see if anyone can name the last time an SEC West "champion" had 2 losses of 20 or more points in a season.

A&M has a good chance to continue their streak of no bowl game. They are just imploding and can't fix it until they make a change at the top.

I would probably order the teams this way:

Alabama
Ole Miss
LSU
Auburn
Arkansas
Miss St.
A&M

Both. I'm a big Ashford fan and I think Freeze would do wonders with him. But we need some quality depth.
He definitely needs some polish on his passing game.

I don’t see how you can say LSU falls off heavily?

They return a lot of production and arguably have the best player in the SEC next season in Harold Perkins.

The schedule sets up nicely if LSU can get past FSU.

Be cautious on Ole Miss. We'll have a lot of unproven talent at WR, an offensive line that still might suck, and a defense that has some growing up to do. Plus, our schedule is super fricking hard next year.

Saturday, Sept. 2 Mercer Vaught-Hemingway Stadium TBA
Saturday, Sept. 9 at Tulane Yulman Stadium TBA
Saturday, Sept. 16 Georgia Tech Vaught-Hemingway Stadium TBA
Saturday, Sept. 23 at Alabama Bryant-Denny Stadium TBA
Saturday, Sept. 30 LSU Vaught-Hemingway Stadium TBA
Saturday, Oct. 7 Arkansas Vaught-Hemingway Stadium TBA
Saturday, Oct. 21 at Auburn Jordan-Hare Stadium TBA
Saturday, Oct. 28 Vanderbilt Vaught-Hemingway Stadium TBA
Saturday, Nov. 4 Texas A&M Vaught-Hemingway Stadium TBA
Saturday, Nov. 11 at Georgia Sanford Stadium TBA
Saturday, Nov. 18 ULM Vaught-Hemingway Stadium TBA
Thursday, Nov. 23 at Mississippi State Davis Wade Stadium TBA

I feel that we will look back at this upcoming season with tears of joy and nostalgia. We'll tell our grandchildren about it. We'll sit by the fire, in our golden years, and look back fondly through a foggy haze at the 2023 SEC Football season.

Because it'll be the last damn season before putting up with the constant bullshite that is the University of Texas. We'll look at A&M as those funny, congenial yet gay as frick crazy nuts from Texas that we're glad came to the party all the same, by comparison. Kinda' like any episode of Modern Family. We'll look back at Mizzou and be glad they don't wear us out with their bigger than life personality ... unlike the fricks from Austin that will simply not shut up.

2023 will be the last season that we're not all so sick to our guts that we want to puke about hearing "That's not how you should do it - it's not how we do it in Texas. As a matter of fact, we should move this or that to Texas.".

Where is UGA rebuilding other than QB.

We return our entire WR corps + Bowers and added the two best SEC transfers

Entire LB corps comes back. Most of the secondary too

Us vs Bama or LSU in Atlanta. Any discussion beyond that may be “good for talk” but it’s really no more than silly speculation.

LSU this season was a team of smoke and mirrors.

Against SEC Opponents:

2 20+ point losses.
3 losses by double figures.
3 wins by 4 points or less
3 wins by double figures
1 win by 20+ points.

The combined LSU point total against the last 3 teams in the West was 57-65.

LSU, in all games against SEC Opponents scored 253 points and allowed 257.

LSU is a 0.500 conference team that got lucky in close games.

Georgia should be back in the SEC Championship pretty easily next season.

QB is a question mark, along with that secondary imo, but they will mature.

I see an UGA and LSU rematch in Atlanta.
