What wouldn’t have happened if Texas & OU didn’t decide to leave the BIG12 for the SEC?

- Lincoln Riley wouldn’t have bailed from OU, out of fear of finishing 6th in the conference every season, and OU wouldn’t have hired Will Muschamp 2.0 to drive their program into the ground if Texas & OU didn’t decide to leave the BIG12 for the SEC

- The Taters wouldn’t have been in absolute shambles, getting absolutely humiliated by a Tennessee team that gave up 60+ in a blowout loss to a 5 loss South Carolina team (so much for that 1 week #1 ranking ), if Texas & OU didn’t decide to leave the BIG12 for the SEC

- Saban wouldn’t have been absolutely rustled and thrown a temper tantrum over recruiting because Aggy decided to try to buy a title while their nearly nonexistent window to end 1939 was closing with their big brothers joining the conference if Texas & OU didn’t decide to leave the BIG12 for the SEC

- Florida wouldn’t have had the opportunity to make an excuse that the beatdown they got in the Gasparilla Bowl by AAC rival UCF wasn’t really a loss to a G5 school since UCF is joining the Big 12 if Texas & OU didn’t decide to leave the BIG12 for the SEC

-Most of all, Kevin Warren wouldn’t have pulled off the most Machiavellian check mate chess move bringing USC and UCLA into the B1G, thus establishing the B1G as the a national conference, the most powerful brand in college football, and the conference of the future if if Texas & OU didn’t decide to leave the BIG12 for the SEC

The Big Ten is running scared. Sure they have a lot of eyes, but then so does the SEC, both are national conferences.

The difference is the people watching the SEC are watching National Titles being won, the Big Ten eyes are not even watching their teams play for national titles

Broseph, you added a team that lost to Tulane. BTW the same team’s coach was scared to compete in the SEC. Let that sink in.

You thin Michigan wins three in a row?

I disagree. He knew his style would not be successful there. So he left for a place where he knew he could continue to recruit high talent offensive players, rack up wins in a weak conference and parlay that into some playoff appearances.

Amazing how many Land Thieves jumped into this thread waving their “S-E_C! S-E-C!” Pom poms for a conference they’re not even a part of yet.

I guess they know that under the Signal Stealer, they’re doomed to be a perpetual 6-6 team until they can him. But in the SEC, they’ll probably be a 8 win team mac, so they’re already learning to ride the conference coattails 2 years before they even join officially

If that were true, and it isn't, we are just stating fact, even without OU or Texas the SEC is heads and tails above the B1G, even with USC and UCLA. With OU and Texas it is just gravy. Metrics do not lie. National Championships and the B1Gs record against the SEC doesn't lie. The fact that you felt the need to come here and try to say otherwise just proves the SEC lives rent free in your head.

Of all of the counterfactuals to discuss about Texas & OU not joining the SEC, you managed to shine a light on the 5 that are the least interesting.

The TU Shorthorns wouldn’t have to stop worrying about losing to Kansas in football again if Texas & OU didn’t decide to leave the BIG12 for the SEC
