What would LSU fans' opinions of Kelly be if Napier and Riley were still on the table?

Just depends on what someone wants.

None have won the big games.

Napier is a promising up and comer.

Riley is an elite offensive mind.

Kelly is a proven head coach who has built and won at multiple programs.

I wouldn’t want Riley, but i wouldn’t be upset if he was hired. I definitely didn’t want Napier and I would have melted my arse off if he was hired.

Kelly is the coach LSU needs.

Riley has the track record, but he also came off like a bitch over the weekend (and with the Baylor fg). I also question if he cares to play defense, and if he can BUILD a program.

Napier will probably be a stellar hire, but he could also end up being a dud. He did a great job at ULL, but the sample size is small compared to Kelly.

All in all, I would not choose either Riley or Napier over Kelly now that I’ve had time to digest it all.

Definitely Napier last. I wanted Riley first because of his upside. But, after he ran away from the SEC, I'm pretty happy with Kelly.

I would have said Riley over Kelley. But not after that pansy arse bullshite he just pulled. He clearly doesn't have the chest BK is a bulldog. And, has so much more experience than Napier. Look like the best hire for LSU at this time.

100% Riley - sourcePosted on 11/26/21 at 9:18 pm
up vote 423 down vote55

Had dinner with a high up TAF member tonight. The contract is signed, $100M 8 year contract. Will be announced Sunday. Woody knew what he needed to get Riley and went to TAF first, got the money, then went to Riley.

Ride, baws. This isn’t happening anymore. It’s happened and done. 100%

Invert that for me. I just like the vibe that Napier has. Want absolutely no part of Riley.

Napier is still a huge risk. Winning at ULL doesn’t guarantee winning at the Power5 level. Just ask Tom Herman
